Good to see Howard blow up with the return of Kyle Long, and get in the "W" column, but hard to be optimistic about my team right now. Crowell isn't getting much done. Henry is a beast behind a monster OL, but he's still clearly RB 2 (not 1B). Evans and Thomas are good, but holy crap have my FA acquisition WRs disappointed so far. I wasn't expecting the three of them to match last year, but wow...

Fortunately, the NFC is off to a slow start, so the door is definitely open to get back in it, but unless someone blows up, I don't know if I can overcome the loss of Olsen with the production I'm seeing down roster. Although, starting the right defense...ever...would probably help. :wall:

What did he do I missed it?
Early in the game he got called for DPI (obvious and correct) on a pass that was picked off (thrown to the WR he was covering) by the safety over the top. He was also flagged for holding on the ensuring return (he tackled the WR, so pretty hard to argue). He took off his helmet (automatic unsportsmanlike conduct; that's one) and started going off on the refs for what had to be 30+ seconds, completely interrupting the game, and requiring half his defensive teammates to "pull him off" so the game could continue. How is that not another unsportsmanlike conduct penalty? Resulting in an automatic ejection. Then a little later (next Titans' possession, maybe?)...

http://www.espn.com/blog/tennessee-tita ... -of-titans

By the letter of the rules, that was barely a late hit, but watching the game live with no real vested interest in the outcome, it looked and felt dirty. Fortunately, the hit itself didn't end up being as bad as it could have been because it was partly friendly fire. I was fairly surprised that the Titans' response immediately after the play was really the only response. Not suggesting they should have tried hurting him by being dirty themselves, but I think in that situation I'm calling a few running plays or screens that give my OL the opportunity to show their displeasure within the context of the game/rules. The game didn't even get chippy. The Titans OL just rolled the Seahawks' D.

I also think there were "double standard" issues with how both situations were handled.

Defenses are so random...it's why we keep trying to get rid of them. But owners keep voting to keep them.

#1 It's traditional, it's only week three it will even out.
#2 If owners wanna spend that much on a D, great for me. and you, and the league. More affordable non random players.

Ohh and I'll be selling the Browns D high

Look at comment #2. Let them blow there money on D's, in the end there is little difference in actual points scored.

And tradition does matter....

Nice to get a win but I have a feeling I'm gonna get smashed this week.

The core of my team is now Carr, Gurley, Shady, AB, ODB, Cooks and Gronk - locked up for 2 years. I'll even have 50k cap space in the offseason.

So if I don't at LEAST make the title game this year or next, I am 100% quitting fantasy football. I will never be able to assemble a better team than this.

^ which is so funny because, bleep my team looks so good on paper if you ask me, but I could literally be 1-3 after this week. My opponent has Hunt and a bunch of juicy matchups.

Fantasy = :crazy:

That's a pretty stacked starting lineup. Unfortunately, Gronk is a long shot to actually stay on the field for a whole season at this point. With the scoring system in this league, Carr not playing like he did Sunday (WTF was that?) is pretty key, especially if you run into...well, any random QB that happens to go off at the same time.

Like you said, your team looks good on paper. I'm pretty nervous this week, your WR corp is excellent! I need Hunt, Diggs, Wilson, Adams to really bring it to stand a chance here.

At least if Diggs blows up I'll actually be starting him in Tecmo this week.

Unlike last week.

I've been a high scorer in this league multiple times, and sometimes never even made the playoffs some years. Put your best team together, and let the chips fall as they will ....
