Really surprised pats drafted buttdude. Seems like the exact opposite of a pats guy.

Maybe they view his talent as just too good to pass up and easy to cut if he tries to pull crap.

Where do I pull the trigger on Boutte?

I’m going to say around the 5.8-5.9 range.

Nah, it's probably a pure value play here with minimal risk. His tude needs a major overhaul if he's going to do anything in the NFL. Pats believe they have the coaching and locker room to deal with those types of idiots.

I mean, pretty wide open competition here. I guess this is actually a great spot.

So we taking a shot on Boutte in the 3rd round of rookie drafts now or 4th? It's hard to pass on the talent.

SF at best a 4th, at this point the "talent" pretty much is only the freshman breakout, two injured/down years, flop at the combine, and no draft stock going against him with just that year and some of a sophomore campaign to hope on

Is it too conspiracy theory like to think Bill drafts these guys occasionally just to make an example of them to the rest of the team when they inevitably screw up?

Just draft someone like this for basically free so he can get the DGBs of the world taken in the 2nd

Yes. He does it because he has security in his position and he knows the risk is minimal. They run such a tight ship they won't care about cutting him during minicamp if he screws up

Had a similar wild thought. Like Bill just wants to cut this guy 1st chance he gets and he's done
