Its all about opportunity cost, so even with OJ Howard you could get a lot of great RBs maybe WRs ahead of him and could snack an other TE later on (Njoku, Everett, Kittle, Jonnu,..)

You could probably get Howard for cheaper than his draft price a summer ago. The only TE whose price is higher than his draft price right now is Evan Engram.

Any of you scouts care to share your thoughts on andrews. I personally think he could be a top 1p fantasy te going forward depends on landing spot

I don't really see any of the 2017 TEs losing much value yet. Assuming you think it's going to happen in year three? FWIW I just swapped Njoku for Mike Williams.

People say this, but I haven't encountered owners who sour on TEs after a year. They all hold knowing that it takes three years. So if you don't draft them, it's not like you can get them cheap, you'll just defer the cost to another year.

An owner in my league drafted Engram and Njoku last year even though he already has Gronk and Henry at TE in a standard scoring league. I've thrown a few offers at him throughout the season for either Engram/Njoku/Henry and he wont except anything less than a 1.07 for any of the TEs. Safe to say their price hasn't dropped in my league.

Id easily pay 1. 07 for one of Engram or Gronk if that's what I'm reading IBall

Id give 1.07 for Engram.

What kind of leagues draft a TE early and then trade at a discount after 1-2 years .. Maybe in Mom and pops beer league but any good dynasty league understands you can’t expect TE 1 numbers right out of the gate and seasoned owners don’t just sell low but I see this expectation posted almost daily..

I don’t think you need to worry about your leaguemates drafting him at 1.07/1.08 if they have Graham and Evans. I’d sit tight and snag him in the 2nd round if you really want him.

There isn't an Engram or Njoku in this class. No 2018 TE deserves to be drafted in the 1st round of a rookie draft, unless we see a HUGE riser over the next 3 months (which we could, but I doubt it)

A few months later and the have just that.

Not enough to be 1. Round, but Mike Geiscki and the Dallas Goerth has done well for them Self during this offseason.

We certainly have some risers! I've been consistently hearing negative film review on Gesicki from a variety of smart folks, basically saying he's just the ultimate workout warrior.

Goedert, on the other hand, appears to be almost the opposite: a very sound TE prospect who is a total unkown in terms of athletic testing.
