Is there anywhere for him to go really besides Chicago or Seattle? Doesn't seem like there's many voids out there for contenders that might have the cap space.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to pay him anything.

The GM they fired. Gase deserves all the hate he gets, but 1 thing that can't be put on him is the contracts they gave Bell and CJ Mosley, he didn't want them.

I’d be surprised if he’s traded in season. He’s in Osweiler territory. I don’t know if the Jets will cut him or not.

If he gets cut, Kansas City would be an outstanding football fit. He could just pass block, catch passes, and score TDs at the goal line. Chicago, sure. I don’t see Pittsburgh working out. Philadelphia wouldn’t shock me. Neither would NE or Buffalo if he’s cut.

To be fair though, the Jets had a ton of cap space and they had no offensive weapons to speak of. Bell made sense as an upgrade at RB and someone who could handle a big receiving workload.

The issue is the Jets offensive line has been horrendous, and Adam Gase is a worthless head coach. Bell definitely isn't the same player, but if you watch Jets-Cardinals (and I don't blame you if you don't) he actually still looks like a more than capable back. The vision and patience is still there and he's still a plus-receiver.

At this point, anyone who isn't a slot WR needs to get away from Gase.

What a crazy franchise. They keep Gase, but release Bell. Don't even get a 7th round conditional pick for him, but were willing to trade that for Ballage.
