I sold JSN & LaPorta

I got AJB

My league mates are roasting me that I overpaid for AJB. I don’t know, I’m looking to get a title but maybe I did pay 6 quarters for a dollar bill.
Context matters. If it's line-up start 9 then it's a fair trade.

Let them roast away. Good trade. You paid fair value for the best asset.

Seems like a good week to finally post this trade I made after week 1;

12 Team Superflex
Gave: CMC
Got: Pickett, LaPorta, 2024 3rd

I get that it was selling "low" on CMC, but my team is stupid, I'd been trying to sell CMC for a year, and QB/TE were big needs. My team wasn't really a contender, and I figure in a year or two, each of the players I got back will probably be worth more individually than CMC.

I'll rarely fault someone for "taking what you can get". I tried for years to unload aging assets and in some leagues, it just won't happen. I'd rather sell CMC a year early for a little less than perceived market than hold him a year too long and set back a rebuild even further. Every league is different in how they value youth, and only you know your leagues.

I definitely think that is light for CMC, but sometimes when you're rebuilding you just have to let the market of your league dictate the value you get in return for a 27 year old RB. Keeping CMC on a deep rebuild is actively bad...all his production will do is hurt your draft position, and by the time you're ready to contend he's unlikely to still be a difference maker.

Also LaPorta's value is pointed straight up right now so it's definitely possible that this trade looks pretty decent within a few weeks.
Team 1: 2012-2016
2013 Champion, 2012 Runner-Up

Chase, Lamb, Amon-Ra, Aiyuk, DJM, M. Williams
Andrews, McBride, Engram
IR(3):
Taxi(4): J. Palmer, Tolbert, T. Palmer
2025 Picks: 1, 3, 3, 4

Team 3: 12 Team PPR, 6 pt Pass TD - 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 3 R/W/T, 28 man rosters, est. 2019

Somebody offered me this in the league where I'm rebuilding (10T SF) and I smash accepted. Would have done it without the second easily.

gave Swift, Sutton and Mayfield
got Stroud and '24 late second

If Swift has a good game tonight I'll be trying to pull something like this. Nice trade for you.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I agree it was “low” but it was the best offer I could get and I thought it was fair also. That particular league I started with like 5 starting QBs and ended up with 1. I think I had Wentz, Winston, Lance, etc and they all bombed out lol. Is it just me or is finding a qb that’s guaranteed to have a job for 5+ years getting really hard these days.

Pretty interesting chain of trades to end up at this point. I think I drafted Najee, traded Najee for Javonte+, then traded Javonte for CMC when Javonte got injured, and now this.

The 1st in the cmc deal is mine so I’m assuming it’ll be late. I’m higher than most on Pittman and don't see him much differently than DK. I also just wanted out on ETN

I like it. ETN + 25 1st for CMC is a nice deal. I still prefer DK, but I would agree there isn't a big gap between them
