It shouldn't. I still remember when people moved Ameer Abdullah up a ton because of a couple of pre season runs. A guy getting pre season work because the starters aren't playing shouldn't change his value at all. Roc Thomas destroyed it in pre season last year. It means little to nothing, but there are a lot of owners out there who don't understand that, so they might pay more.
