On the flip side of that, compensatory picks are at the end of the round. So a compensatory 3rd would be around pick 100.
Even taking a 3rd from a team that is not doing well could end up in the 70 range or even better.

But any team that gets Bell will easily make the playoffs. I mean that's why he should be paid 3x as much as the average back. Or whatever times it is that Conner makes...

He easily deserves to be paid as much as Gurley.

The Steelers annual offer looked nice but was low in guarantees.

Per Schefter: Bell is reporting to Steelers during Week 7 bye.

Still, a lot of uncertainties with Bell. If he does come back during bye, he would be available for week 8. hmm? Conner has two juicy / favorable matchups to go before Steeler's bye.

Plus, depending on the Steelers situation they could put him on the exempt list and not pay him for 2 weeks.

And lose two more games with Conner in the backfield? That would be very stupid.

You think it was Conner's fault they lost? I find that absurd.

I don't think it's Conner's fault, but I do think that having Bell would have given them a much better shot at winning.

Was just offered Bell for Mixon and Collins. Owners are actively trying to unload, and I think for good reason.

It's a question of who gives them a better shot to win. Bell vs Conner is like Barkley vs Gallman (or Stewart) or Gurley vs Kelly... There is nothing absurd about preferring a far superior back running the ball for you.

Thing is, when Bell does come back and the Steeler's defense is still a sieve, what will we say then when they struggle to win? Lets not pretend that the Steelers haven't lost while Bell was in the backfield. Lets not also pretend that L.Bell himself has not had poor games. I've said it before, things in fantasy are typically never as good or as bad as they initially appear. Conner imo, is not a top 5 talent, but he is far from a JAG. Bell has proven that he is a top 5 rb. Conner has flashed. Bell isn't the reason they have struggled. His presence sure could help, I agree with that. He's also shown that he and his approach can be a major distraction. Lots of moving pieces here.
