If your team is relatively healthy...

Postby Dookmarriot » Mon Nov 09, 2015 3:32 pm

...are you living in fear, waiting for the other shoe to drop?

Fingers crossed, my team has been mostly intact, although losing Dez was a bummer, and I wasn't sure when Gurley was coming back. But each week, with top players falling like dominoes, I'm getting an uneasy feeling that one of my studs could be next. I generally don't handcuff, but I find myself poking around the waiver wire more than I normally would.

Maybe it's just me, as I tend to envision worst case scenarios when it comes to fantasy. Anyone else nervous?

yeah, one key guy goes down it can make your team really vulnerable .. but its why we play and build great Dynasty teams no?? No better feeling than overcoming injuries and still winning :)

Our teams are completely unrelated, from a probability standpoint, of having one of our players go down because other teams have. Injuries are (99%) isolated incidents and not the result of others. There's no reason the probability of injury won't affect a team that's already been snakebitten any differently than a healthy team. That's just the misfortune of fantasy football... :(

If you're healthy, you've got something to bring up at the dinner table at Thanksgiving. ;)

A TE injury could really do me in, otherwise I have enough depth or are already crappy at the position (RB) where if someone goes down the plug-n-play option isn't much worse.

I still feel like I should sacrifice a chicken. Using incense. Or something.

Already checked the sacrificial chicken off my list of 'things to do'.

Actually, yiu could say that the probability of a healthy team getting hit with an injury is a little higher simply because they have more healthy players left to get hurt

My first team has had RBs dropping like flies..

Team 2.. I've been pretty lucky so far.. only dealing with an ASJ injury..

Although.. it'll probably happen come playoff time.

These injuries are one of the main reasons that I own multiple teams. Of course I enjoy it but when I use to have one or two teams, injuries could literally ruin the whole fantasy season. Now, even though I've had my share of serious injuries, I still have a few teams that have been somewhat unscathed so far(fingers crossed)

It's crazy how random it all is. My dynasty team has been held in tact thankfully, but my redraft league team is absolutely decimated right now.
