this is long overdue imo. he was never that good and ppl that thought he was were delusional imo. he had a run before defenses figured out that gimmick offense and has been exposed since. compound that with the fact that a good portion of his team didnt like him as their starter in the first place and like i said this was overdue. they will release him after the season

The only explanation is they're trying to tank. Kaep may be terrible but Gabbert is one of the worst QBs in history.

I know Kaep, my brother in law was his high school coach, I live in his home town, blah blah blah.

Every cookie store has Kaep cookies, every pizza store has the Kaep slice, and so on... you get it. Honestly, 95% of the people here are 49er fans, and they all want Kaep out... No spin, even in his home town...

Other than running the read-option plays, I never really considered Kaep as that good of a QB, really. I never thought he could read defenses, he lacks touch on some throws that most QBs have to make, etc. None of that has changed but now instead of having a great team around him, the 49ers are a mess and Kaep can't overcome it, not surprising to me at all. Maybe he ends up going somewhere else and becomes a good starting QB but I don't think it will happen, jmo.

yeah cams numbers would be significantly higher with better wr. all the drops and batted balls that have accounted for probably half of cams interceptions. i do think he should be an mvp candidate as well only behind brady

MVP is most valuable, look at what Cam has around him and they're rolling undefeated. He's also performing when it counts.
