Woods/Lee/Agholor

Postby FiremanEd » Sat Mar 21, 2015 6:11 pm

Interested to know how individuals would rank these USC WRs at the time they came out of college. I'm very hesitant towards any of these guys based on the similarities I see and historically average production outside of Keyshawn.

Interested to know what a less biased opinion would be and how you view Agholor specifically to ensure I don't miss anything.

My gut tells me Agholor will be a better pro than both. He's faster, runs better routes, and just looks like a better football player on tape. I like his YAC ability as well and he seems to have pretty good hands.

With that said, I'm not sure if Agholor has star upside. I know of the 3, Lee had the most hype and was even considered a favorite to be the 1.01 in 2014 before he had a disappointing junior year. The talent is there and he had some encouraging flashes last season, but just not sure how it translates.

Very high on Agholor. Real agility, excellent after the catch, running back mentality and clearly going to be a very dedicated, very driven pro. He's genuinely shifty, looks to be an excellent route runner. I think he has a very high ceiling.

Saw a tweet recently quoting Utah S Eric Rowe that said his toughest WR match up was against Agholor .. He also played Funchess, Strong, Harper, and Montgomery...

It's funny how they at one point were the exact opposite of this haha.

Woods was at one point considered a 1.01-1.03 the year before he came out (Lattimore/Woods/Allen). Then Lee was considered to be the 1.01 vs Watkins as the next can't miss elite WR, and Agholor was for the most part a JAG

I was never high on USC WRs but do like Agholor out of the trio. Woods, expected more from him but the situation did not help matters being in a run-first offense with Watkins. Lee will be a nice complement to Robinson.

Where do Juju Smith and Isaac Whitney fit into those rankings of USC WRs? Smith is the next one up and appears ready to take the reigns. Whitney I was able to watch while he was at the JC level and had the look of a D1 prospect (next White?). I know it's still early but Smith is a top '17 WR and Whitney could enter '16 draft. I know Smith is a top 15 devy pick and Whitney is still an unknown, any thoughts?
