Chris Simms has been released by Denver, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Kyle Orton is still the starter in Denver, and Brady Quinn was just brought in to compete with Tom Brandstater for the backup gig, leaving Simms as the odd man out. Simms has the talent to compete for a backup gig somewhere, though his disagreements with coaches in the past could hurt his cause at landing work. Fanball

I never liked Simms in the first place, ever since Texas screwed Major Applewhite I have loathed the guy. Plus it looks like he was straight out of children of the corn..... :shock:
