I see...never let facts and statistics interfere with an unsupported opinion.
i mean, Terrence Williams is on this list along with guys like the immortal Dustin Keller, John Carlson, and Tony Moeaki. It's a stretch, at best, to think that b/c he was some relevant last year after Mike Williams went down, that he is somehow a good TE. In reality or fantasy.

He only had numbers last year b/c TB literally had nobody else and V-Jax was triple covered all the time.

Wright's not good, guys. He's basically another Brandon LaFell who plays TE. Incredible, I know.
Your comments do not address the contention I made that after having one of the statistically greatest seasons in NFL history at his position that Wright, in your words, "hasn't been a great pro". Regardless of the circumstances in which he seized the opportunity to succeed at the position, he was brought into the Tampa offense to catch the ball and that's what he did - at a 71% catch rate - and at a productivity level rarely seen by an NFL rookie TE. On top of all that, Wright only changed to the TE position in his rookie training camp. If that isn't the makings of a great pro, then what in your opinion is?

Just like Trent Richardson is painful to watch play. Yet he is still ranked high because of his draft position and opportunity. He's like the opposite of Tim as Mr. Wright has actually done something when I guess he wasn't suppose to?

Will Timmy come through for a 2nd year and a row? Who knows...but I'm willing to watch and find out by getting him on my roster where possible (redraft or dynasty) and see what happens in the 1st few weeks to see how he is utilized. Could be solid trade bait for something else that might turn out to be a "risky" player.

Four catches on six targets for 43 yards. Not bad for a guy who is so new to the team.
Team 1, 10-team 0.5-PPR
QB (1): Richardson, Watson, Purdy
RB (2-3): Walker, Swift, Dobbins, R. White, Mitchell, Gainwell
WR (3-4): Hill, Godwin, Aiyuk, Flowers, N. Collins, Doubs, M. Wilson, Shakir
TE (1-2): McBride, Goedert, Okonkwo

I'm not sure what metrics you use to define "hasn't been great as a pro", but statistically speaking Wright's rookie season of 54-571-5 was one of the Top 12 rookie TE seasons of all time (in just 13 games**), believe it or not...

Wright's rookie year he logged in the 13th most receiving yards of any rookie TE since 1970...

Lof of statistical derp here - have you ever watched him play? He's not good.

So is Gronkowski, Hernandez, Jackson, Shockey, Bavaro and Newsome. It's cool - I see you cherry picking your stats and trolling. Nobody's mad, but I think you're losing your street cred. 8-)

LMAO - you guys are smoking crack if you think he's going to take over Hernandez's role.

 Told you so.

You also told us this:
DLFiend wrote:Wright likely won't do anything this season - he's already too far behind. I wouldn't expect him to really matter too much at all, to be honest - Wright isn't really good.

This was a clear cash-dump by the Pats.

The move really only impacts Doug Martin who everybody is probably regretting not buying low on now.

He only appears for a brief moment to gloat when he happens to be right, but disappears when we show him where he was very wrong

You can, on the other hand, point out when a TE is an inferior athlete and had a fluke season and then return to tell everybody you were right despite copying and pasting some stats, likely without ever having watched Wright play.

*the more you know*

And let's face it - I've been right about Gio, Patterson, Wright and a ton of others - I know more than you.

I think you're confusing me with someone else -- Julio, maybe? Here's the only thing I said about Wright in this thread:

Nope. Not with those roster sizes. And for Team 2, I don't see Wright as a big touchdown guy, even in NE.
