Trading away Randy Moss?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading away Randy Moss?

Postby KU Sucks » Thu Feb 11, 2010 3:06 pm

I was contemplating trading Randy Moss for either Rashard Mendenhall or Shonne Green. Who would you rather have and why?

PPR, standard scoring

B. Roethlisberger
J. Flacco
T. Edwards
R. Grant
M. Barber
J. Charles
J. Stewart
J. Harrision
J. Davis - IR
R. Moss
M. Colston
M. Austin
P. Harvin
G. Camarillo
B. Berrian
B. Robiskie
J. Shockey
G. Olsen
F. Davis
K.Brown
Jets
49ers

1.4, 2.4, & 3.4 2010 draft picks.

Mendenhall; more of a complete RB.

Greene...but regardless of which you should get a higher return
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

My exact thoughts.

As to the why, I think Greene showed the why this postseason: run-heavy O, great OLine, and he was infinitely better than Thomas Jones. He's a top-12 back the next 3 or 4 years in my mind.

Looking at your roster I'd package Moss and a RB for another younger stud WR and a young developmental WR or do your original trade and flip 1 or 2 RB's for WR help.

Mendenhall. I like what Mark said, plus Greene will have to compete with Washington when he comes back, while Mendy is a three-down back.

Everybody in our league is looking for starting wr's, we start 3 wrs, & 2rbs, no flex. So wrs are at a premium. I'm going to try to package a rb & a draft pick for a wr. Nobody in this league is offerring a wr for trade.

On the higher return issue, I think Randy Moss started to decline this year and I suspect a serious drop off next year. Also won't have Welker drawing heat off him too.

Yeah, a decline because he played with a seperated shoulder from week 5 on. Still finished top 3 in my league this year. Not to shabby for a washed up old man!!! He's got 2 more elite years left.

ditto. but you should get more back than just a straight up trade. Maybe an upgrade in draft picks, or another WR.
