Is this Charles offer really THAT bad?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is this Charles offer really THAT bad?

Postby Rustyram78 » Mon May 25, 2015 3:11 pm

I won't get into team details, but the Charles owner put him on the block and said he wanted serious offers.

So, I offered this-

I give Gio+ARob+Fleener

I get Charles+Knife

Dude gets back to me saying I may be interested in Charles, but offering him a backup rb, a wr on the worst offense and s crappy TE is insulting and I should get back to him when I'm serious about trading for Charles.

Really? Is tgat offer THAT bad?

Oh and he sent me two offers before rejecting mine-

Marvin Jones+3.09 for Julio and Owen Daniels+3.09 for Gronk.... I asked him how can he say my offer is crap while sending me junk like this?

Had to vent.... thanx!!

It's a fine offer. He has a weird valuation of Charles probably.

Your offer is lowish but plenty reasonable. His offers to you are jokes.

If I am rebuilding my team I would rather have the Gio side of that offer.

People don't realize charles is 29. Not saying I'd take what you offered, as gio's price is pretty low (and the consensus is that Hill is the RB to have in cincy) and I don't like fleener. If instead of fleaner you added a late first I think I'd be willing. Definitely for a first in the 1.06-1.08 range. My guess is this guy thinks Charles is 1.01 plus value which really isn't the case.

I own Charles and Knile on a couple of different teams and I don't think that was a bad offer and I'm even higher on Charles and Knile than most. I wouldn't accept that if I thought I was a contender but if I was rebuilding, I would consider it.

As a Charles/Knile owner I would see your offer as a little bit of a lowball but not ridiculous. I still expect another year (hopefully 2) of elite production out of Charles, but there is no question that his value has already started to fall.

It's not a good offer, but not insulting.

i agree that the offer is low. im an owner of charles and davis and no way i take that. if you want to getcharles, dont wait till season starts, then people will give him his actual value. to me there is no one in that offer that has value, thats just my opinion. charles should have elite value, he is 28 and in the prime of his career. 2-3 years of top tier production, minimum. in dynasty the rule is to secure the studs, and charles is a stud, no one offered is close.

next year charles gets the matt forte treatment and the guy might wish he took your offer. gio is still a solid rb2 and arob is a good wr2/3 along with fleener who is an acceptable te1 in deep leagues. i would accept it if my team was young and building.

his offers are far far worse than yours were. i'd probably just stop even trying with him

Charles is a Rb1. You dont trade him for a couple of rb2/wr2s. If your team is young, then you take a chance at rookies or draft picks, but why fill your already limited roster space with established backups/timeshares or second options.

because gio is 23 and arob is only 21 thats why....your response was quite funny tho that you act like gio and arob are next to nothing lmao. yeah charles is an rb1 sure. so is forte. look at his value in the crapper right now. idk what you dont understand here lol

This offer isn't too bad, although Gio doesn't excite me much. I'd counter it and ask for your 2016 1st and add my 2016 2nd or something similar.

First off the counters were sent to give u a sense of how he felt about your offer. The reaction u had is the same he had when he received yours.

However, based on relative values i would think the offer is fair. Imo the davis/Charles pairing is A LOT stronger than one or the other by themselves.
