Keenan Allen or Demarco Murray

Postby WalkerBoys » Mon Apr 27, 2015 2:53 pm

Murray and Allen are ranked right next to each other on dynasty rankings. Allen is younger but may have QB issues in a year. Murray is probably better than Allen over the next 2 years but will eventually run out of gas. Which player would you rather have on your dynasty team assuming that you have a need at RB and WR. Thanks.

Murray. Not a huge Allen fan...with where he is seemingly valued as a HIGH WR 2 with low end 1 potential.

Demarco for me. He is still the lead back on a very potent offense.

Murray by a mile..... by 2 miles for me! Keenan Allen is borderline WR3. DeMarco is a locked in top 10, maybe top 5 RB.

Average WR's are a dime a dozen. I don't even like Murray much but he has shown he can put up huge numbers. 1000/6-8 TD's for a WR won't get you anywhere.

Murray is worth more than Allen, unless your rebuilding. I still think you can get more for Murray.

Aim for a WR with more upside.

12 Team, Superflex, 0.5PPR,
QB - Wilson, Rodgers, Mayfield, Rudolph, Love
RB - Zeke, Kamara, Cook, Vaughn, Edmunds, J Jackson, Mattison
WR - Adams, Cooper, Pittman, Shepherd, Williams, Watkins, Bateman, Mims
TE - Kittle, Higbee,
DST - Titans, Jaguars, Rams

Team 2 - Champions '16, '19
12 Team Superflex, 0.5PPR,
QB - Rodgers, Ryan, Brady,
RB - McCaffrey, CEH, Ekeler, Henderson, Davis, Edmonds, McKissic
WR - Hopkins, Ridley, Allen, Waddle, Jones, Cephus,
TE - Kittle, OJ Howard, Higbee,
DST - Seahawks, Steeler, Texans

Team 3 - Champions '18, '19, '20
12 Team Superflex, 1PPR,
QB - Herbert, Newton, Ryan, Taylor
RB - Barkley, CMC, Kamara, JT, Pollard, Edmonds,
WR - Adams, Hopkins, Woods,, Juju, Bateman, Edwards, Harry

This. Murray will score you more points over the next two years, but if you're not ready to compete that will only result in a lower draft position. Allen should offer steady WR2 production with the potential for more for years to come. So if I'm rebuilding Allen fits my timeline and goals and Murray does not. If I'm a contender then Murray makes more sense.

I'm stuck on this one Murray in Phi. worries me with Mathews and Sproles there , Every time I wanna trade for him I rethink it knowing Sproles is going to get 3rd downs so his catches are going to take a big hit and Mathews is going to spell him sometimes .. I really don't know what he is going to do this year he isn't going to get 400 carries and 60 catches right , Maybe something like 275-300 carries 30-40 catches ?

Murray. Larger value range (low and high) but is far more valuable as a trade chip. Contenders view DeMarco as the last piece and will pay that way for him, no one's paying big money for Keenan Allen. He's a good WR2 option, but I don't think he'll ever be more than what he is.
