Winston
Just finished watching Winston tape and here are my observations...
(Note: We all know the maturity risks with Winston, let's keep it to football?)
1. He will be a stud. Him, Teddy, and Luck will be the guys of the future.
2. His 2014 offensive line doesn't actually block. Go back and watch the Notre Dame tape... It's insane.
3. He's got the "it" factor. His will to win is impressive and unquantifiable. But I like it.

Re: Winston
Oh, and he reminds me of Peyton Manning. He just seems to know what the defense is doing before the defensive coordinator does. He just gets himself into trouble expecting his OL to block. (See 2.)
Re: Winston
I happen to agree with what you are saying. He was under terrible duress in multiple games this season, and was guilty of some bonehead throws from time to time due to confidence in his ability (reminds me of those Andrew Luck throws where you just go WTF?).
I am a huge fan of his game. The only thing that can stand in his way is his attitude. If he keeps his mind on football, he will be a stud. If not, it could get ugly.

Re: Winston
You can find all of FSU's games on youtube for the last two years ... Most of the SEC is well covered there.

Re: Winston
Winston is such an interesting case. He's so football smart but yet he's an idiot off the field. I like his chances to succeed though.

Re: Winston
What is the earliest you would take him? Considering I have 1.07 and could get 1.05 for Cam, I could grab, oh say, Gurley/Parker, and nab Winston with 1.07...
Smart move?
(I know, should be in team advice, but curious to see how we would value him in terms of other dynasty QBs)

Re: Winston
I have the 1.06 and have been strongly thinking about taking him there unless the draft shakes up a few things.

Re: Winston
Depends on league size/format. In a standard 1QB league, I wouldn't take Winston at 1.07.badnewsbarrett wrote:What is the earliest you would take him? Considering I have 1.07 and could get 1.05 for Cam, I could grab, oh say, Gurley/Parker, and nab Winston with 1.07...

Re: Winston
I like Winston too but I hate taking QB's early in rookie drafts. I have 7 picks upcoming and a god awful team at the moment, and I don't think I'd take him until 18.
Re: Winston
Winston is about to throw in 15 minutes on several networks .. NFL network, ESPN, etc.. Scheduled to throw about 132 throws.

Re: Winston
If we could get a throw by throw analysis from someone at home, that would be great

Re: Winston
Most QB's usually limit their throws to 45-55, Jameis is expected to double that ...
