[POLL] Bench TE stashes

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

If you were going to stash 1, who would it be?

Tim Wright - Looks like he has the tools to fill the Hernandez roll, will he? Also good Gronk insurance.

Dion Simms - Former basketball player who was raw coming into the league, going into 3rd year. Clay moving on.

Luke Willson - STUD...but will he get the targets

Appreciate all the advice.

Actually have acquired Eiffert in 3 dynos, for relatively cheap. Since Eiffert missed last season and no one knows how he is going to fit in, I am looking to gather safety net depth.

Eiffert for Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne around week 5
Eiffert for S Smith, Dopug Baldwin and a 3rd around week 10
Eiffert for a 2015 2nd shortly after the injury, turned into 2.11

With all this talk of Clay I don't know why you can't take a flier on Dion Sims in the instance Clay does leave. He appears to have everything you want in a TE, including mobility, size, block ability, and draft pedigree. Even entering year 3, as there is usually a waiting period for TEs. I am holding him and am optimistic. Worst case he's easy to cut.

Housler is the other one, although I'm less optimistic in him, but hopeful he goes somewhere friendly in order to sell.

As an MSU alumni, I can say that Sims definitely has the talent to succeed, should Clay move on. He is a strong blocker , has soft, solid hands for a big TE, and is more athletic then people think. The only issue with him is I don't think his ceiling is very high. I could see him being in the 8-14 range at TE

I would target either ASJ (going to cost me but might be worth it) or Escobar

ASJ leading in votes isn't a surprise. It will be fun to see who on this list ends up being the second best. I thought Rivera might have gotten a few more as he has some chemistry with Carr. This poll would have been interesting if everyone got 2 votes.

I did not expect there to be a runaway which is why I only had the 1 vote. Will remember to consider that suggestion if I do a similar poll in the future.

There was a suggestion of acquiring Eiffert, which I have done, do posters think ASJ is a better dyno investment than him?

I would take Eifert over ASJ easy for me, and I have both.

I don't expect anyone would take ASJ over Eifert but I am also guessing Eifert costs more

Perhaps a more interesting poll / comparison, would be Ebron vs. ASJ??

Ebron should cost more for sure, just like Eifert. But I'd be curious which way a Ebron vs. ASJ poll would go. I would think Ebron 80 - 90%?

PierreThePainter wrote:My vote is Richard Rogers / ASJ. The packers like to draft and develop talent so I like his future projections as well as he was drafted in the 3rd round by Ted Thompson who generally does a good job finding offensive talent. I also like ASJ's measurable and the fact that a rookie QB (which Tampa is likely to draft at #1 overall) usually leans on a TE more in the beginning.
This. I picked ASJ because he has a clear path to fantasy startability, especially if they draft Mariota. But compared to the price you would have to pay for them, RR is easily my choice, was high on him last summer and picked him up in most leagues this year.

It depends if they re-sign Daniels. I'm rooting for Pitta as a person, but I doubt he plays again or stays healthy with that hip. Gillmore is a good stash though.
