Trade offer involving young RB's

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade offer involving young RB's

Postby SteelLake » Thu Jan 15, 2015 9:42 am

Team in sig.

I get: McKinnon, D. Robinson

I give up: L. Murray / 2016 2nd round pick (likely a very late one... guy won our championship this year).

This was after many, many terrible / annoying offers from him for L. Murray.

I'm leaning towards accepting this... Thoughts?

I know my views are different than most, but I think Denard is going to be a flash in the pan. Will look great for 2-4 games, but I just can't see it maintaining. Plus they will bring in some new meat to challenge him. McKinnon I certainly like, very solid upside. I don't see why you have to put a pick with that offer. If he wants Murray, tell him McKinnon and Denard get the job done, no pick.

But I am not high on Denard, so take that for what it's worth.

Yea, I'm not that high on Denard either, but tbh in this smaller format a very late 2nd round pick gets passed and such pretty often... So it doesn't have much value.

I'm fairly certain I can flip Denard for something as well

I don't like it. I think Murray is going to be better than McKinnon, though I like his upside as well. I don't think Robinson will develop into much more than a COP back. If he's the one really hounding you for Murray, don't give him up unless you really like the offer.

He's been hounding me, but with terrible offers. I just countered with him giving up Ingram instead of those 2 RB's.

That's what I'm saying. If he's clearly the one who wants to make this trade happen more than you, make him overpay if he really wants Murray.
