Ladarius Green? If so, I'd easily take Green over Bostick.

Andrew Quarless just signed back with the pack. Thoughts?

I'm not sure what to make of it. Bostick could still end up the feature TE in Green Bay despite them paying Quarless decent money for two years. I would've preferred Quarless to sign elsewhere though, so Bostick's value is cooled a bit.

I think that works in Bosticks favor as long as Finley or someone else signs. Quarless is more of a blocker.

Again with this myth. He is seen as "more of a blocker" because he excels at it and was asked to primarily block when he was on the field because Finley was a vertical threat. This, by no means, indicates that he lacks receiving ability. Finley was supposed to be the next big thing at TE and just never produced at the level he was expected to while Quarless was asked to block opposite Finley. Quarless is no Finley in the atheltics department, but he's no slouch either. Bostick isn't ready to step into the starting TE shoes at this point anyways. It would also surprise me if Green Bay didn't grab a TE in the draft.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them draft a TE either. I also agree Bostick isn't quite ready yet which is why I think they brought back Quarless. After watching every snap they both have taken ( as I'm sure you have bl) I feel better about Bostick in the long run. The Packers have held for a reason.

I definitely agree that they see something there, but they have also held Quarless (through his injuries) for a reason as well. They like how well rounded he is and I think with a full season he can put up high TE2 numbers (not that great at all) but I don't see TE1 numbers from him ever. Bostick has more upside, but I have been hearing the Packers are sweet on Fiedorowicz (but at this point in the offseason, who the hell knows what's true?).

The Packers will have a difficult time resisting Ebron if he's there.

Then they'll look at the safety situation and not have a difficult time resisting Ebron at all.

I like Andrew Quarless, and I'm glad to have him back as a Packer, but the Fantasy TE to own in GB is not currently on the roster.

Coach Mike McCarthy called Brandon Bostick the Packers' best blocking tight end.

"That is something he had to grow into, develop into," McCarthy said. "I look at him as still a young, ascending player. He's doing some really good things in his limited opportunities on offense." McCarthy also named Bostick one of the core special teamers. With Jermichael Finley not expected back, McCarthty mentioned Bostick and Andrew Quarless as potential significant contributors on offense.

-----------------------------------------

Doesn't this seem significant? He's already a better pass-catcher than Quarless; if he's also a better blocker now, then there won't be any reason to take him off the field anymore.

If it wasn't for Cobb's presence in the slot, I'd be all in on Bostick at this point.

Let's hold our horses here. The guy has 7 career receptions...that's 12.5% of the career receptions Quarless has. In his first season, Quarless had 3 times as many receptions (21) as Bostick (7) on nearly only double the targets (33 to 15). Can Bostick be a better pass-catcher than Quarless? Absolutely. Will he be a better pass-catcher then Quarless? Likely. Is he a better pass-catcher than Quarless? Not according to the data. But like pack4ever22 said, Green Bay's TE of the future is not on the roster at the moment

Until the Pack sign someone or draft a TE high, I am still in belief that Bostic is the guy to own here.

I agree with this. Still not greatly confident it'll pan out for him, but a good stash nonetheless.
