Decker/Brady for Marshall?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Decker/Brady for Marshall?

Postby SoShady » Tue Dec 03, 2013 10:44 am

I trade
Brandon Marshall

I get
Tom Brady
Eric Decker

scoring system

Every 10 receiving yards (REY10) 1.69 Each reception (REC) 0.42
TD Reception (RETD) 6 40+ yard TD rec bonus (RETD40) 2
50+ yard TD rec bonus (RETD50) 4 2pt Receiving Conversion (2PRE) 1
100-199 yard receiving game (REY100) 2 200+ yard receiving game (REY200) 6

Every 20 passing yards (PY20) 1 TD Pass (PTD) 5
40+ yard TD pass bonus (PTD40) 0.4 50+ yard TD pass bonus (PTD50) 0.8
Interceptions Thrown (INT) -4.2 2pt Passing Conversion (2PC) 1.39
300-399 yard passing game (P300) 2 400+ yard passing game (P400) 4
Sacked (SK) -0.3

I don't have a ton of interest in Decker. Just to many mouths to feed on the Broncos for my taste. But getting Brady would be interesting. But i'm not sure if I should just stick it out with Manuel who has been putting up good numbers the last two weeks. If I trade for Brady I would decide to cut Manuel then who has many more seasons left than Brady. 12 teams i'm 9-4 headed into the playoffs. We can start two QB's in this league. We get to keep 5 guys at the end of the season 1 had to be a IDP. Would you make this move or stick with what you have?

My Roster
QB- RG3
RB- Marshawn Lynch
RB- Reggie Bush
RB/WR- Mike Wallace

WR- Michael Floyd
WR- Keenan Allen

LB- Vontaze Burfict
LB- Bobby Wagner
CB- Desmond Trufant
S- Mark Barron
DB- Janoris Jenkins
DB- Devon McCourty
DP- Kiko Alonso
K- Shaun Suisham

Bench
RB- Chris Ivory
RB- Andre Ellington
WR- DeAndre Hopkins
WR- Mike Brown

That's an automatic yes in Superflex. Decker isn't as good but is younger and Brady will be a huge upgrade in your OP spot for the next 3 years.

Don't forget Decker is a free agent after this season. Should be considered when making this trade.

So easy accept and just run with RG3, Brady, Lynch, Bush and one of my LB's for the next few seasons.

I think with only keeping a limited number of players I'd make this move. Brady is a huge upgrade over EJ. I'm with you on Decker, too many mouths and he is too inconsistent. Good luck.
