Dion Jordan or Ezekial Ansah?

Who would you take if you wanted a DE? Would you choose differently if it was a big play league?

For now, I think I would go with Werner.

If I HAD to take one I'd take Jordan, just because I don't see Ansah panning out.

Werner is a DL who may be used like Suggs is in Baltimore, but for now, fantasy sites have him at DE. He is a more polished pass rusher than either Jordan or Ansah at the moment. Once Ansah has a couple of seasons under his belt, I see him as the better own.

I don't see any of them getting alot of tackles. They all seem like big play types, with Jordan having the most upside.
WR: OBJ, Dez, AJG, K. Allen, Crowder, K. White;
RB: Gurley, Montgomery, Lacy; QB: Wilson, Goff; TE: Eifert;
DL: Bosa, Danielle H., Ansah, Frank Clark;
LB: Telvin, Kwon, Collins, Jatavis, D. Lee; DEF: KC;
DB: Burnett, C-Dix, S. Davis; K:

Rookie Bench: C. Coleman, Doctson, N. Spence, Jaylon, Jack;
IR:

Start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 RB/WR/TE, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 4 LB, 3 DL, 4 DB
12 teams, Non-PPR, tackle heavy w/ TFL.

I would go with jordan. Enzhas got great upside but is really raw and may take a while to be a full time de. He will probably start out as a situational pass rusher.

Ansah... easily. The biggest reason is because he'll be a DE, but he''ll also be with good DT's pushing the front of the pocket.

D.Jordan will be a LB, so he's pretty far down on my wish list and I'll let someone else take him.

Dion.

Great bookend to Wake, and he is more polished than Ansah.

I'm thinking Ansah today - I just have more faith in the Detroit Brass than the Miami Brass (I just threw up in my mouth a little saying that).

Do you have a link on Werner being used like Suggs or can you expand a bit on it? Or are you just saying that because of Pagano? Everything I've read of the post-draft press conferences suggest he'll stand up (which would suggest he'd be OLB classified).

I agree he'll play a LB role in certain packages since that's what he played at Oregon, but listening to Philbin, it sounds like they're going to ask him to put on weight. To me, that suggests they want him to bulk up so that he can play with his hand in the dirt since he's currently a bit undersize for that. Depending on how Rotoworld perceives that (for MFL at least) and it plays out into camp/preseason, that could certainly change, but on its face it seems he'll play down.

If anyone, he seems to be a guy that should get more LB snaps out of the DE classification. That said, if you're right and he's LB classified, he loses a bit of value. I'd still comfortable in projecting him as a solid LB3 with upside since he'll at least get snaps in a pass-rushing role out of the DE spot, but he probably wouldn't be worth the price his name would command.

Have you heard something different? Or is that just your speculation?

Jordan's a DE at this point on MFL, so hopefully that sticks.

Most of what I hear and read have Werner being used as an OLB, but a lot of people are comparing him with Suggs.
