Who are you higher on than Everyone else

Postby RonW15 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 8:37 pm

Are there any players that you are higher on than everyone else seems to be? Anyone you are lower on than everyone else seems to be?
My Guys that I'm higher on than everyone else are:
Russell Wilson: 5th QB in PPG in the second half of the season. He seems to be getting better could be a top 5 QB this year
Alfred Morris: 6th RB in points last year and was only a rookie, No one seems to trust him though because of Shanahan.
Chris Givens: Didn't play much at the start of the year, still only about 1 PPG less than J. Gordon and went about 5 rounds later in 2 drafts this year.

Players I'm lower on than everyone else
Andrew Luck: 10th in PPG last year 2 PPG less than RG3 1.5 more than Wilson and about .5 PPG better than Kaepernick, Ive seen him going in the 1st Round
Brady: Still playing at a high level, but I believe his decline is coming sooner and will be swifter than anyone thinks. Under contract for 2 more years at which time he will be 37
Jennings: I'm a firm believer that players don't get better by leaving teams with great QBs like GB or NO even if they end up as the #1 receiver in a place like Miami. Miami would be a great place for him to go, but I'm worried he might end up in a place like Minnesota, St Louis or Cleveland. Also he is 29 and his best season was 3 years ago.

Initially I was going to say Lamar Miller but I suspect that hype train has gone on to the point that there are guys who like him more than me now. Judging by the community rankings, though, I'm high on
Lamar Miller, Ben Tate and Bryce Brown at RB
Stephen Hill, DX, AJ Jenkins, and Dwayne Bowe at WR
Jordan Cameron at TE.

I'm low on
Wes Welker- Too much uncertainty around a guy on the downside of the age curve
TY Hilton- I don't think he's going to be much better than he was this year
Jacquizz Rodgers
LaMichael James
Daryl Richardson

I'm higher than anyone on Vereen.

I'm apparently lower on J.Charles and L.Miller than anyone.

But, I'm lower than most on every player in the Oracles post (the high's and low's)... except for Bowe :2cents:

Higher:
Bradford- Starting to turn the corner and his weapons will develop.
Ryan Williams- Finally healthy and the QB/o-line situation can only go up
Lance Moore- Does it year in and year out and always hovers around 10 td's but is consistently ranked in the 50's-60's in dynasty rankings for some reason.

Lower:
RG3: Love him but I don't think he is worth a first/second round selection cuz I can't see him staying healthy for a full 16 games each year.
Vick Ballard- Seeing him go way too high and think he is just producing this well b/c of situation which will change in the near future.
Danario Alexander- Lot of love for a 1/2 year of production. Big risk where he is going in start ups and I understand the upside factor but we will see...

Of all those guys I'm relatively lowest on Hilton. Maybe I'll be wrong, I just see a 5'10" receiver who had about a 3rd of his value come from TDs and I think regression.

I agree with future on DAX very small sample size and I honestly think V. Brown is the man there next year...
I think a lot of people agree on Hilton like a poor mans DJAX ultimately limited because he will never be a High reception or red zone TD guy

Jordy Nelson- have him as WR9
DeAngelo Williams- Think he becomes a mid-tier RB2 in a new destination
Brandon Bolden- I like him a lot more than Vereen

This is why I love FF.

I don't think Jordy is in the top 20 WR's, think DeAngelo is done in the NFL and won't be more than a 16 team bye week fill in and think Bolden will get no more than 3 touches a game next year in NE.

What a great hobby!

I'm lower than most (or as I call it more realistic than most) on Kaep and RG3 as well.

Higher:
Decker - maybe his stats slide next year...or maybe any one of Stokely, Tamme, or Dreessen are gone next year and he has less competition for targets.
LeShoure - apparently he's not very good? I don't think his ceiling is super high, but I think he's a solid RB2
Joique Bell - the guy did pretty good things in ppr leagues considering his circumstances. Who know, but I'd be shocked if the Lions don't resign him, and mildly surprised if he wan't more involved in the offense next season.
Reggie Bush - people seem to be more concerned about where SJax and Mendy end up.
Jordan Norwood - I'm digging pretty deep here...but in ppr leagues, he could be one of the those WRs that come out of nowhere and make some noise (a la Ceceil Shorts). Then again, he could also not make it through training camp.

Lower:
RWilliams - I don't doubt he has talent and displayed it in college, but I really don't understand why he is being valued so highly by some when he hasn't shown anything in the NFL yet.
Mike Wallace - Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be surprised if he ever cracks the top 15 WRs in a season again.
TY Hilton - love the kid and love having him on the Colts, but I think he's being overvalued for dynasty purposes
AP - ranking him at 1.01 is completely ridiculous, imo. He's not in my top 5 RBs let alone top 5 overall.
DT - I like him, but not so sure I feel he's a top 5 WR just yet.

Higher:
Tampa Mike - He gets no respect while putting together 2 top 20 seasons in 3 years.
DJAX- I think he is utilized by Chip Kelly
DT-I have him ahead of Julio
Shorts- I see this guy ranked in the 40s everywhere. Top 25 for me.
Doug Martin- My dynasty #1 RB

Lower:
Antonio Brown- I think Mike Wallace made him.
Alfred Morris- Maybe I am more hesitant than low.
Hakeem Nicks- I would love to own him...just so I could sell him.
Maclin- He had that really good year, but he is more so the guy that he's been in his other seasons

thanks for bringing up Julio he's another guy I'm lower on than everyone else. He is generally the 3rd WR drafted, but he was 11th in points last year and 2nd on his own team..... I see him as a guy who is top 10 every year going forward but not always top 5

THANK YOU!!!! Im glad to know Im not the only one who does not WORSHIP Julio Jones. Nobody seems to pay any attention to him not even being the most prodcutive WR on his team. Obviously he overtakes Roddy in the next year or two, but the price tag that is attatched to him is too high IMO. Most have him ranked WR2/WR2A with AJ Green. Im not one of them. Julio is in the elite tier of WRs, but hes not at the top of the list for me. Julio is 5th-6th tops in my rankings. Ill take Dez or DT over Julio every time and not feel bad about it one bit.
