It worries me as it may impact this season and potentially next if the problem isn't fixed. This is not a long-term issue. Britt's problem is the same many face when they receive the "unhappy triad", ACL, MCL and meniscus damage. Meniscus damage leads to a ton of debris inside the joint capsule. When he started running on it, the debris started rubbing around causing inflammation. These procedures are designed to clean up debris and prevent inflammation and pain resulting from this rubbing.
There is nothing "degenerative" about this at all. This is actually entirely routine. I'd hope they would have fixed the issue after one surgery, but hey, it's not easy doing these surgeries. A lot of times the only way to tell there's debris in the joint is by the symptoms it causes. Hopefully they got it all and he's good to go.
The only major, long-term issue that could result is psychological. If he has faith in the knee even after repeated surgeries and plays hard and properly on it, it should support him no problem. Hooray for modern medicine. If he's scared, he'll underperform, and expose himself to injury, and that could spell disaster.
As is there's nothing to indicate that his career is over, and certainly nothing at all to indicate he has a degenerative issue (osteoarthritis). I expect him to continue rehabbing, get his head set, and be out on the field as per usual.
Not to change the subject, but Adrian Peterson was on the wrong side of the "unhappy triad" last year. Will be interesting to see if he experiences some of the same issues as Britt. Also, I'm pretty sure Wes Welker had the "unhappy triad" too. I don't remember his having his knee scoped as often as Britt...in fact, I don't think he did at all.

According to rotoworld and ESPN and several other sites, he tore both his ACL and MCL. Same as Tom Brady in 2008. And just like Welker, I don't remember Brady having multiple "clean up" surgeries after the initial surgeries like Brittle.
Evidence points to degenerative knee issue for Brittle. Also he clearly has a degenerative brain issue too.
Btw...
