Luck Trade-Is This Terrible

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Luck Trade-Is This Terrible

Postby jbenz0208 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 11:43 am

I'm in a 2 QB, 10 team dynasty league with standard scoring rules. The below trade went down, just want to know if people think this is at all fair. The team that gave luck also has Beanie Wells.

Team 1 gives: Andrew Luck

Team 2 gives: Denarius Moore, Justin Blackmon, Ryan Williams

Id keep the super elite over a bunch of lower tier guys...I dont play in a 10 team league but I would want the "2nd coming", especially in a 2QB league...easy pass for me!

Luck in a landslide. In a 10 team league, depth is less important than high end talent. With it being a 2-QB setup, this isn't even close.
Team 1
10 Team, .5 PPR, 2QB, 3RB, 4WR, 2TE, 3DL, 4LB, 4DB,

2QB: Stafford, Carr, Mishew, Bridgewater, Herbert
3RB: Taylor, Ekeler, K. Johnson, Mack, AJ Dillon
4WR: Cooper, Ridley, T. Hill, Slayton, Pittman, Westbrook
2TE: Ertz, Gesicki, Hurst, Everett

For team 1--If you think Luck will take a yr or 2 to produce and you have qb depth - you make the trade

For team 2--If you think Denarious is the #1, which many do
If you think Beanie Wells is so avg that even a player off major surgery could out produce and be the 1 by years end
If you think Blackmon can become the savior to an otherwise WRless Jax team y
you make the trade.

2qb League is one thing if its a 12 man leauge but 10 teamer.. Im can see both ways

I do not see anything "unfair" about it, but I definitely agree with the others and would take the Luck side, in a 10 team 2 QB league.

I wouldn't mind this in a 1 QB league. It's rather lopsided in a 2 QB league.
12 team, PPR, 4 pt QB TDs, 25 ret yds/pt.
Start: 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 4 RB/WR/TE

QB: M Ryan, B Bortles, D Carr;
RB: L McCoy, J Stewart, L Murray, T Riddick, R Turbin, K Robinson, K Carey, J Gray, K Williams;
WR: Julio, S Watkins, J Matthews, K Allen, J Landry, M Crabtree, C Patterson, P Harvin, R Woods, P Garcon, M Wilson, A Holmes, J Janis (TS);
TE: C Clay, D Pitta, J Gresham, R Rodgers, L Wilson

Terrible trade in a ONE QB LEAGUE... but TWO? Horrendous deal. I hate being in leagues and seeing that kind of deal happen unless I'm the one executing it. And even then I'd feel a twinge of Socialist guilt thinking it isnt fair to the rest of the league.

Team Giving up Luck is getting ridden hard and put away wet IMO.
