I am trying to work a trade for Chris Johnson in my SC dynasty league.
I am proposing sending J Best 10, 12 and R Meachem 8, 7.5 (both have favorable RFA status after their contracts are over)
for
Chris Johnson RB Ten 20,20 (no RFA after the contract is over)
I am pretty sure I will need to add something to my side to sweeten the pot.
How much more would you expect if you were trading away CJ in an SC league?

That offer's not gonna get anywhere, IMO
I don't think that the combination of players & contracts you're offering any remotely close to being equal to a player of CJ2K's stature.
Without knowing the other team's roster, I think the only way it gets done is if you drop Best and include players some of your rookie and sophomore players on those minuscule contracts.

Re: Chris Johnson possible trade
Best doesn't have much value with his injury/concussion concerns. The fact that this is a salary cap league makes J.Best worth even less to me, because I'd be tied to him with part of my cap space. J.Best is maybe worth a 3rd round pick to me at best. R.Meachem hasn't proven what he can do or can't do, so moving him right now isn't going to get you that much value. I don't see this coming close to interest the other guy. I don't think you have the fire power. I'd want Baldwin + Hankerson + your 2013 first + ? (you don't have the next piece to get the trade done for my taste).
Re: Chris Johnson possible trade
Personally, I don't like either of the players you are thinking of sending so that would be a non-starter for me. Best actually has negative value to me with that contract. You don't say what the cap is, but given the salaries on your team he looks rather expensive.
You're looking to acquire CJ2K with two years left on his deal. Those two years project to be pretty productive. I'd have his floor as a high end RB2 and I think there is substantial upside on that. I don't know if the other guy is a contender, rebuilding, etc. so I can't really give you a suggested deal. But the only pieces you have that would interest me are A.Rod, AJGreen, Hankerson, Hillman and future firsts.

Re: Chris Johnson possible trade
This might be a dumb question... but does "Chris Johnson RB Ten 20, 20" mean that he is signed for TWENTY years?PackFan1 wrote:I am trying to work a trade for Chris Johnson in my SC dynasty league.

How much more would you expect if you were trading away CJ in an SC league?

I think he means he's signed for two years at $20 per year.JockPostDT wrote:This might be a dumb question... but does "Chris Johnson RB Ten 20, 20" mean that he is signed for TWENTY years?PackFan1 wrote:I am trying to work a trade for Chris Johnson in my SC dynasty league.

I thought it might be a typo too, but then Javid Best being signed for 10 years threw me off...dlf_tims wrote:I think he means he's signed for two years at $20 per year.JockPostDT wrote:This might be a dumb question... but does "Chris Johnson RB Ten 20, 20" mean that he is signed for TWENTY years?PackFan1 wrote:I am trying to work a trade for Chris Johnson in my SC dynasty league.

Yes Tim, you are correct, 20, 20 is 20m per year for the next two years (20M per year is the max contract).dlf_tims wrote:I think he means he's signed for two years at $20 per year.JockPostDT wrote:This might be a dumb question... but does "Chris Johnson RB Ten 20, 20" mean that he is signed for TWENTY years?PackFan1 wrote:I am trying to work a trade for Chris Johnson in my SC dynasty league.

The salary cap is $130 million in this league.
He stated he was trying to sell CJ earlier this year, so I thought I would see would it would take to get it done.... The other owner already rejected it. Thanks for the input everyone.
I have a hard time telling sometimes. I always try to put myself in the other owner's shoes and think if I would do the deal from his side. But then you see the crazy deals where you think "what the heck was that owner thinking?" So I thought I would give it a shot.
