Luke Kuechly

Postby Biggcmo » Mon Apr 23, 2012 2:44 pm

With Luke Kuechly being considered the best MLB prospect in the draft, If his play lives up to his hype and draft position, think being drafted in late 1st round of IDP rookie drafts is reasonable??

I think so. Kuechly went at the 1.10 in the recent IDP mock draft: http://www.dynastyleaguefootball.com/dl ... 12&t=28848

He will be taken in the 1.10 to 1.12 range. In 2 QB leagues, there is a possibility he falls to the second round.

I have 1.8 and plan on taking him there....yeah it might be a bit early but I want to make sure he is a bitch for years to come! My thought is he is probably the surest prospect at that stage of the draft...IMO

Pre-NFL draft, there are 2 QBs, 2 WRs, and 4 RBs I have ranked higher than him, so he's fair game from 1.09 or later!

Every league is different, in my league DL never get drafted in 5 rounds and here in some mocks they go in the 2nd...you might get him in the second

I would expect him to go end of first at the earliest. Anything before 1.11/1.12 is crazy. I wouldn't take him that early, because there is too much offensive player value there in this years draft. The best value for him is early second to me, but everyone has different rankings. I am not expecting to draft him in any leagues. This feels like the year R.McClain came out and he was way over drafted, although some knew that he wasn't the best LB in that draft and focused on picking up Washington at a great value.

unless he lands in a rediculiously good situation i wouldnt consider him til mid 2nd, i think hes better in coverage then being a tackling machine. I'd prefer hightower, but again depends on what team they go to

I agree that Kuechly more of a coverage LB then a run stopper.

So you say theres a chance! lol i pick at 2.06 in the 2nd and was going to try and snatch him up. I'm guessing with the buzz that he's generating right now he'll go off earlier than in a week

The only way Kuechley doesn't get over drafted is if the Houston Texans take him.

I'm seeing some Mocks with him going to Buffalo at #10. Do they not like Sheppard and should we be trying to unload him before the draft in case they take Kuechly?

It's only a mock, but I would move Sheppard if you can get good value for him. He's likely not playing all of the nickle packages from the current news I've heard, so his value is higher for many people then it should be.
