The Lions SHOULD win the SB, but I still have legitimate concerns about Dan Campbell and his ability to win the close ones against good teams, when it counts, based on his game management. I hope they do win it, it would be great for their fans after so many years.

Also, that defense is pretty banged up, which will make things a lot harder. The Lions are the most fun team to watch right now though.

Any shots of Caleb greeting Ben after the game?!
I highly doubt Johnson is dumb enough to go to the Bears, with the options he'll have at his disposal next season.

Surprisingly bad take from you bud!

Bears
Jets
Saints
Jaguars?
Cowboys?
Giants?
Raiders?

Bears are miles ahead of those other teams in terms of Ben Johnson's preferred setup.

- Has a really freakin' talented QB, easily the most talented from that list of teams, check
- Good Defense, check
- Absolutely desperate situation for CHI to get right so he should get a lot of control and dictate his terms, check
- Patient (if slightly idiotic) ownership - Flus got 2 years, Nagy got 3, hell, Lovie Smith got 8...

If you want to make a case for Jacksonville then fine, but I don't think Trevor nor their roster are as good. I've never seen Trevor make some of the throws that Caleb is already making.

Chicago is right in the mix for the Ben Johnson sweepstakes, and there are rumours that it's the job he was wanting last season anyway. (Albert Breer is as plugged in as anybody)

What would be hilarious would be....

What if Ben Johnson wanted someone other than Caleb and now he isn't interested again?

It would be hilarious, but I don't think that's likely. We basically knew Chicago would have Caleb Williams from the moment the 2023 regular season ended, if not even before that.

That rumor seems extremely Caleb related. Why wouldn't it be.

It would be incredibly spicy that he goes in-division to Campbell, though...

At least LVR made this game vaguely interesting. Even if we knew the outcome ahead of time.

Casually goes up and puts up 10-140+-1. He has a serious argument for being the most valuable player in dynasty. He’s a TE that put up WR1 stats

Did everyone see how easily the Raiders got into fg range without a time out and how easy it is to set up for a fg without a time out? The fact that they botched it is an indictment of them as a team, not the process.

I was thinking about this too. I’m in a 2TE, small TEP league and I don’t think I’d trade Bowers 1 for 1 for any RB or WR. Of course, we saw similar from LaPorta and he’s been underwhelming to say the least.

I really liked LaPorta as a prospect. I had him as an early 2nd round NFL prospect and a late 1st rounder in dynasty. But Bowers is just a different animal. I thought he had a real argument for being the best player in the NFL draft last year, and I simply have not seen a comparable TE prospect in my life. I feel a lot more capable of replacing an elite WR than Bowers. He’s just not replaceable.

It's different. Look at the target volume. Bowers is averaging ~9.4 per game. LaPorta averaged 7 as a rookie.
