Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
Mildly concerned that I’m not quite seeing an elite RB in this class although I do see depth and it’s better than last year .
Let’s hope a few guys really take a big step this college season and change my mind

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
Would that make it a sure thing?
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
In all seriousness, there aren't truly great RB prospects that often, I don't think there is one at this point. Elite would have stood out already.
We thought it would be Judkins, but 4.3 YPC is gross, for college. He's also a bit of a problem player, but the reality is, he's not an elite prospect at this point. Maybe he takes over and rolls over Henderson, and put sup 2,000 at Ohio St.
That's a scenario where we say, OK. This guy is IT. He was disgruntled, was immature, etc., but moved to a new team, took over and dominated. I could see his profile, at that point, being elite, as a true junior, though he's still not the "really young kind", he'll be 21 in October.
The guys that turn 21 in their draft year, or after the combine, those are the guys that are "really young", in terms of being a Junior.
That's the only real situation where I could see it going the way of a guy being considered "elite".

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
If you're looking to draft Bijan, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking to choose from a number of RBs who look like Top 64-100 picks, you'll be excited.
- Ollie Gordon
- Quinshon Judkins
- Nicolas Singleton
- Ashton Jeanty
- Kaytron Allen
- Devin Neal
- Omarion Hampton
- TreVeyon Henderson
- Damien Martinez
- Trevor Etienne
That doesn't even include RBs like Donovan Edwards and Raheim Sanders, who could be in the mix if they have bounce-back years. It's just absurd potential depth.

It’s the main reason I completely punted on 2024 and am hoping to secure the the highest pick possible with Team 1 next year. Grabbed Williams + MHJ + Nabers this year and hope to grab RB + a QB next year with 3 1sts and 4 2ndsCameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 7:07 amIf you're looking to draft Bijan, you'll be disappointed. Just for perspective, Henderson could've been RB1 or RB2 in this year's class.blemly wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:44 pmIt’s the main reason I completely punted on 2024 and am hoping to secure the the highest pick possible with Team 1 next year. He may not even be a Top-5 RB going into the season for this year's group.

Yep. I’m super excited about this class even if there is no Bijan. It kind of reminds me of the 2017 draft for RBs in a way.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:47 pmJust for perspective, Henderson could've been RB1 or RB2 in this year's class.blemly wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:44 pmIt’s the main reason I completely punted on 2024 and am hoping to secure the the highest pick possible with Team 1 next year. Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
It’s all speculative right now while we wait on 2025. I can confidently say there will be three rookies that come in as a top 10 back. Outside of Bijan, Gibbs, and hall, the rest can easily be dethroned depending on landing spot.
Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
While this might be over-stated a bit, the sentiment is right. And it's why investing in a top-10 dynasty RB is risky business.dmoyer121099 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 3:57 pm It’s all speculative right now while we wait on 2025. The back end of the top-10 (Achane/Walker/Kyren) feels like they are there by default - we need ten players in the top-10!

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
I’d also like to note we’ve been pretty spoiled lately. Although we more than likely won’t have a saquon, Zeke, or bijan level prospect who gets insane draft capital (never know for sure), we could still get an rb drafted in the first to a solid landing spot (like Dallas perhaps) and a couple early day two. For reference, Breece was a second round selection and didn’t receive nearly the amount of hype Bijan has. On that note, I can confidently say breece owners are more than content and aren’t thinking “dang I seriously wish I had bijan”. This isn’t a bijan slander post by any means (he’s a heck of a talent), however you don’t have to check every single box to produce rb1 finishes in fantasy.

Correct. The selling point for this class is 2020 in terms of structure:dmoyer121099 wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 7:20 am I’d also like to note we’ve been pretty spoiled lately. R1: Edwards-Helaire
R2: Taylor, Dobbins, Swift, Akers, Dillon
R3: Gibson, Vaughn, Moss, Evans
10 RBs going in the Top 100.
The catch is 2020 ended up being a let down with only a few RBs still being desirable assets.

I remember drafting Evans thinking Henry can’t keep going forever. Now it’s 2024 and Henry is still doing great and idk if Evans is even on an nfl teamCameron Giles wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 8:01 amCorrect.
