1.04 + ? to tier up to ?

12 team league, PPR, start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 non QB flex. For team 1 below. Shallow league. Adding MHJ and Nabers. 1.04 is a bonus pick. Could trade back or try to tier up. Who would you aim for and who would you offer on top of 1.04 (if you think it's a wise move)? JJ, Chase, ARSB for 1.04 + Olave? Hall and Gibbs are not available, so WR is about it. Thoughts?

I'd take Brooks with 1.04 pick and be excited that he was there.

The big alternative would be to trade down to about 1.08 and take Caleb or Daniels with that pick. This is 1qb but your backup QB situation is a horror story. Or maybe you trade back for a QB+2025first.

Either way, I'd be happy going into the 2024 season with your current WRs+MHJr+Nabers. No need to add another receiver to that lineup.

Answer: As a JJ owner, I'd want at least 1.04 + Olave + another early first (or a guy like London or Waddle) on top for a Jefferson or Chase.


Note: Your team is pretty stacked and studs rule in shallow leagues, so really I wouldn't even consider trading any of those guys to you just to prevent your team from being even harder to beat. No sense in tiering down for pieces IMO.

I like the thought of adding one of these three but 1.04 is a tier down for WR rookies because the first three will be gone and if I had JJ for example, Olave is a great piece but I lose the top 2 WR overall. I do agree if you want to go this route, you will need to add a bit more but it shouldn’t hamstring you in the future. Do you know if any of these three other owners are actually listening for deals for their WR1?
