I would need at least an early 1st on top of Caleb to trade Stroud. And I'd probably still hold onto Stroud.

Stroud's per game scoring would have given him a 17-game total of 4655yds and 26TDs. Given his low INT rate that would have put him around QB7 or QB8 on the season. That's kind of like the best case scenario for Caleb, except without all the risk of finding out if a rookie can actually translate his talent to the NFL.

It's going to take a lot to get me to trade the proven asset for the unproven asset whose best case is to be as good as the proven asset. Probably more than an early 1st difference for me.

Oof tough call.

Their YPA, college QBR, age, and breakout ages are almost identical.

Stroud has the better (college) production profile but has the worse injury profile. He put up one of the best rookie QB seasons ever but did it against a cupcake schedule in a trash division.

Williams is the better prospect and has the higher fantasy floor with his rushing upside but did less in college in 2½ years than Stroud did in two. In 2024, he'll also have the better weapons (Keenan/Odunze/DJM/Kmet/Swift > Nico/Diggs/Dell/Schultz/Mixon) but a slightly worse O-line.

For FF purposes only, Imma say Williams since I think he's better creating off-script and can make the plays with his legs that Stroud isn't willing to (or can't) make.

While i wouldnt say very early i would agree the CW side will need a little sweetener

Stroud

Foodie. Well done steak goes in the trash.

Habaneros make the best tasting hot sauce. Throwing a bunch of random stuff on top of fries doesn't mean you call it "poutine".

You can only HOPE Caleb is as good as Stroud. As of now, Stroud by a significant amount for me
