Puka side, Olave is over-valued by the community right now.
Olave owners dream of a day when Olave can come close to Puka rookie season.

Olave should see 150 plus targets this year with a better scheme. Do you think Puka ever hits those numbers again?

I think their production will be very similar this season, personally.

Olave had 87/1123/5 with a game missed. That's likely his floor this season. The TD's are the big question mark for him, with me. I think he pushes 100 catches this year, assuming health.

I'm in this boat, too. I think the gap between Puka and Olave is much, much, much smaller than the gap between Kincaid and JT. I'll happily take the massive JT upgrade for the smaller Olave downgrade.

This leaves you really strapped at TE though, do you have something planned to address that? I think the downgrade from Kincaid to Kraft or whoever you're starting there is much worse than the downgrade from say JT to Rhamondre.

I'm doing that all day. Puka/Olave is a wash. JT is a huge upgrade and this isn't TEP. Go trade a 2nd for some older productive TE in season if you need

In dynasty, I look at more than the current season.
Yes, Olave again has no competition for targets, and probably finishes as a WR2 again in 2024.

When looking at Olave's advanced metrics, opportunity share is his greatest strength.
His productivity and efficiency metrics are not nearly as strong.

So if you believe that the Saints will never draft another quality receiver in the next 3 years, than I would have the gap between Puka and Olave much closer. Personally, I believe that the Saints will spend another top pick on a WR sooner rather than later.
Once competition arrives, if Olave loses some targets, he could easily drop in rankings due to his efficiency and productivity numbers.

That is why I say that Olave is over-valued, because his numbers are currently inflated due to lack of target competition.
For Redraft purposes, I like Olave in 2024, however, we are discussing Dynasty here.

do you really think puka won't have exactly the same issue? there is no chance imo puka gets close to the amount of targets he did last year with a healthy cooper kupp around. i personally think olave will be higher than puka on his own but at minimum i think the two are a wash

Michael Thomas never seemed to fully recover from that "tightrope" ankle surgery he had a few years ago.
Kupp is the only other NFL player I am aware of that has had that same surgery, and he didn't look so good last year.

I am fading Kupp in redraft, and will continue to fade tightrope surgery recipients until I see proof that the doctors have figured out how to do it right.

I mean torn ACL's used to be career ending surgeries.
Not anymore, as the medical profession has gotten much better with knees.
When they prove they have gotten better with ankles, I won't worry as much.
