Andrews or Bowers?

12 team league, for team 1 below. Not TE premium. Start 1 TE, 1 non QB flex in this league. I have Laporta. Would you draft Bowers and trade Andrews? Or keep Andrews and trade back from 1.04?

This is sort of a reply to this thread and some of the other ones:

I don't think you need to stress about doing two things at once -- trading and drafting and making sure they align perfectly and only drafting based on a trade and not make a trade based on a draft and...

In other words, if a great trade comes along (like the one where you got Andrews), then great!! If not, then simply draft the best player. It's May; you don't need everything set for a loooooong time. Obviously, having a big-picture plan is important. But I wouldn't draft or not draft a player because of a trade that may or may not happen, nor would I make a trade that may or not be a good one simply to draft a player that I other might or might not take.

You can separate the draft from the trades for a little bit. As long as each individual move is making your team better and/or moving you toward where you want to be, you're good in May. You don't have get all there all the way now.

Thanks - and no, didn't take it harshly. I was trying not to flood the forum with the same questions, but probably did in a way by trying to simplify the questions. I am in no rush to make this next move, but just looking for guidance for the larger plan. I'd honestly like to see how Bowers looks this summer and preseason before making a final decision.

If you go MHJ & Nabers then Odunze goes 3rd. I would already be working the phone lines to move Andrews and take Bowers at 4. But If you can’t get a 1st for Andrews, then I’d hold him, pass on Bowers and take CW or Brooks. Minshew isn’t a good backup QB option

MHJ and Nabers with the first two picks. Odunze will be taken at 1.03. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 non QB flex. I think moving Andrews and picking Bowers at 4 is the way to go. I'll have to address my backup QB at some point, but in a 1 QB league that's not a huge issue.

If there were a scenario where I could get picks 1.06 and 1.08 (same owner has those two) by moving back from 1.04 and not giving up too much on top, and picking up Brooks and Caleb, I would be fine with that. In that case I would keep Andrews. But other than that, I might prefer taking Bowers and seeing what I can get for Andrews. There is a team that has no starting TEs right now and he has no significant draft capital (2.05 and 2.09). If I made a deal with him, I'd offer Andrews and maybe Spears or White for Pacheco and Pickens.
