Draft over: Keep building or try to compete?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Draft over: Keep building or try to compete?

Postby PPE82 » Wed May 08, 2024 4:42 pm

Team 2: SF and TEP (2 vs 1 ppr)

I really like my young core, but unsure if I should think about adding one or two vet RBs to try to fill out my roster to make a run this year.

Thoughts?

Keep building. I don’t think you’re close enough yet, but without seeing the other rosters it’s hard to say. Have you tried the DLF league analyzer?

Team certainly looks competitive. Would try to ship a future 2nd + a depth RB or Downs or Wicks to add an aging RB.

DLF League analyzer has me 1st overall. Only weak spot is RB2.

Wow! I’m not be very good at assessing other teams. Do you think my team in signature looks competitive?

My gut is to keep building. Given the deep lineups, your starting multiple rookies this year. Hard to have a realistic championship team relying on so many right out of the gate. You always buy in-season if you're off to a strong start.
10 tms 27 plrs PPR

12 tms 22 active plyrs. Salary Cap $300 PPR

I really like my young core, but unsure if I should think about adding one or two vet RBs to try to fill out my roster to make a run this year.

Thoughts?
I think hold tight for just one more year. Sell all the WRs after flowers for draft picks. Draft picks on this format are more valuable due to the TE Prem. Hold onto your own draft picks unless you’re getting an incredible deal. That would be my advice.

I don’t mind trying to get some solid rb2 types but I wouldn’t give good draft picks (1sts and 2nds) to do so.
