Rebuilding.. How Should I Proceed??

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rebuilding.. How Should I Proceed??

Postby Tybandz101 » Sun May 05, 2024 7:25 pm

Over the last 2 years, I’ve begun to understand dynasty assets but I’m currently at a standstill for my next steps to rebuild. Welcoming advice for next steps.

You have some really nice SF assets in Stroud, Love, Puka, Nico, Kyren, and Adams. You also have some intriguing upside guys in Spears, Wilson, and White. The team is not ready to compete and you don’t have the picks this year to make that happen.

Get rid of everyone that I did not mention above and move Adams and Kyren for future picks if you can get the value. Accumulate those picks and reassess after next year’s rookie draft.
Team 1 (Rebuild ): 12-tm SF 0.5PPR/1.0PP1D
QB: Williams, Young, Tannehill
RB: Herbert, Akers, Gibson, Wilson, Abanikanda
WR: MHJ, Nabers, Flowers, Pickens, Dotson, Downs, Chark, Boyd, Douglas
TE: Knox
Picks: 3 ‘25 1s, 4 ‘25 2s, ‘25 3

Team 2: 14-tm SF PPR/1.5TEP
QB: Burrow, Wilson, Lance
RB: JT, Mixon, Pollard, Laube, Guerendo, Hill, Patterson, Hines
WR: Hill, Cooper, DK, DJM, D. Samuel, Sutton
TE: Freiermuth, Gesicki, Hudson
Picks: ‘25 3rd, ‘25 4th

Team 3 10-tm SF PPR
QB: Mahomes/Dak/Cousins/Jones
RB: JT, Kamara, Jacobs, Zeke, Singletary, Moss
WR: AJB, Diggs, Allen, Cooper, Wilson, Kirk, Sutton, Williams, Bateman, E. Moore
TE: Goedert, Schultz, Granson, Hill
Picks: 1.07, 2.04, 2.07

If you want to rebuild step one is to get your '25 1st back. Overpay if you have to. Then you can really let loose and sell pieces off.

QB- Kyler, TLaw Stafford
RB- Dowdle, Mitchell
WR- JJ, Lamb, ARSB, DJM, Kirk QJ
TE- Engram, Schultz
PK/CB-
DT- Wilkins, Vea
DE- Bosa, Young, Landry Ebukam
LB- Campbell,Speed, Mcfadden, Dodson
S-
1.02, 1.11

id sell everyone but love stroud nico and puka (keeping burks and m wilson too actually). nice core to build around. just stock up picks and youth. if you try to just move a guy or 2 i think you remain a mid upper team but you have so much ammo to really turn that into a monster if you sell some of those high value volatile assets now (adams, white, kyren. maybe spears if someone gives a first or pair of 2nds but not selling for just a 2nd)
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

How are draft picks determined? If it's max potential points, I'd begin selling all of your RBs with the goal of getting your first back as the primary objective.

I agree get 25th back and only thing i am holding really is Nacua, stroud, collins and maybe Love. You are in the middle , time to get out, no draft picks to get better. I blowing it up or you are going linger in the middle.

Make everyone available for trade. Love Stroud and Puka are the only players I'd be looking to keep, but if someone wants to get silly, you should let them. Adams and White I'm absolutely unloading before week 1 of this season.

As other have mentioned, getting your 2025 1st (and maybe your 2nd as well) is where I'd start. Adams and White for that pick alone would be a no brainer in your situation. Beyond that, just keep hunting value in the form of young players and draft picks. Good that you have the QB situation squared away.

I’d keep stroud and Love and maybe Collins and pawn off everyone else for what you can get for them
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex
1 point per first down
All tds 6 points
