Offer either of these?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Offer either of these?

Postby Prison_Mike » Mon May 06, 2024 6:57 am

12tm PPR SF 0.5-TEP

I've talked about this team here before, but still haven't been able to get a deal done. Contender, heavy @ RB. I feel like I've turned over every stone in search of WR depth and just can't find a trade partner, whether it's because of roster construction, misaligned asking prices, etc..

Are either of these worth sending?

Offer 1
Give: Gibbs + Mayfield
Get: 1.05 + 1.08

^ I figure Gibbs is worth a bit more than the 1.05, Mayfield is worth a bit less than the 1.08. This is a rebuilding team that will land Caleb @ 1.01, has a solid stable of WRs/TEs/(and now QBs with the addition of CW), but has no RBs. Would give me flexibility within the draft to land a WR, while keeping a solid RB room. I could see others thinking the valuation is off here though, so I'd love to hear some opinions

Offer 2
Give: Mayfield + Zamir + Gus Edwards
Get: Diontae + 3.02 + 3.06

^ Another rebuilding team, he doesn't currently have a (starting) QB2, after having just traded 1.02 + 1.09 for Stroud. He has shown interest in Mayfield in previous trade discussions, and is also looking for RB help (which I have too much of). I actually think I'd be losing on value here considering there's a 3-round ADP gap between Baker and Diontae, and Zamir himself is probably worth more than 3.02+3.06, but I'm starting to feel desperate @ WR as I've been trying for a year and a half lol.

My team:

Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLX, 1SF
QB: Kyler, Dak, Cousins, Mayfield
RB: Gibbs, Saquon, Jacobs, Swift, Zamir, Warren, Mostert, Gus
WR: Chase, Waddle, Keenan, Meyers, Shaheed
TE: Njoku, Woods, Gesicki

dont like idea 2 its way light for return.

idea 1 i think you can try gibbs for 5 and 8 or if you think mayfield is needed for the other guy id be asking for more. 5 is either nabers or maye, im good with gibbs and getting nabers but i dont want to give him and mayfield up to get maye who id see as similar to mayfield and then 8 you are getting like btj worth coleman mcconkey and id rather have gibbs than any of them
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

I think I’d pass on both to be honest.

Mayfield isn't necessarily a need for him, but it would secure his QB room 3-deep (CW/Watson/Baker) and allow more flexibility with his other picks, so I figured it was a bit extra incentive as I'm not sure most would pay two top-8 1sts in this class for a RB. Maybe I'm wrong?

In my experience so far (3 rookie drafts), 1.08 has been one of: Bowers/JJM, I could see Odunze falling there

My fear would be that Nabers is gone by 1.05, which feels more likely than not

Meaning you wouldn't send either offer?

Cool thanks all, I'll hold off on these.

Will probably have to wait until post-draft to get anything done

Yes. Not sending either of these and wouldn't accept either one on the flipside.

Deal two is so light coming back it doesn't seem like it's worth making, although I am out on both Zamir and Gus the Bus.

Deal one is sending away Gibbs plus a low-end QB2 for two non-premium first rounders. It's a fair value but if either of those picks busts or your guys aren't there when you're OTC, you've lost. If I'm the owner of 1.05 & 1.08, I could prolly draft a better QB and hope a WR or TE falls to me at 5.
