Down tiering from Burrow?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Burrow, Jeudy and Charbonnet or Levis, Garret Wilson and a 25 2nd

Down tiering from Burrow?

Postby Viking386 » Sat May 04, 2024 8:32 am

This is a 12 team super flex league. Just got out of the rookie draft and now have Lamar, Burrow, and Jayden Daniels at QB. Thinking of down tiering and picking up a stud WR since my team lacks that.

The offer sent to me was Levis, Garret Wilson and a 25 2nd for Burrow, Jeudy and Charbonnet.

Starting roster as of now is

QB- Lamar
RB- Brian Robinson
RB- Zack Charbonnet
WR- Deebo
WR- Rashee Rice
WR- Worthy
TE- Pitts
FLEX- Coleman
FLEX- Jeudy/Mike Williams
SF- Burrow

Had a ton of picks so I have a lot of rookies on the bench hoping a few hit. This team is clearly not a contender. Would you do this trade or look for future picks instead? Typically I want a crazy deal for a top tier QB and not sure if this is it. Curious to get your opinions though
Main Home League
12 Team 1 QB PPR
-Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE and 2 Flex

QB: Anthony Richardson, Sam Darnold
RB: Nobody worth mentioning
WR: Justin Jefferson, ARSB, Olave, Nico Collins, Tyquan Thornton, Marvin Mims, Tre Tucker, Bell, Austin,
TE: McBride and Dulcich

Draft Picks
-1.02, 3.01 and 4 24 4ths.
-3 25 1sts, 1 25 2nd, 3 25 3rds and 3 25 4ths
-2 26 1sts, 2 26 2nds, 1 26 3rd, and1 26 4th

2022 Champions in full rebuild. Looking to contend again in 2025.

I'd counter with a 2025 1st. I like the idea or getting Wilson back, but am out on Levis personally so that's making me question this deal. Does he have a better QB2 to send back?

I tired the 1st and he countered with the 2nd. Im okay with Levis, he would be my QB3 and Id be okay with that.

Goodness no. I hope you didn’t trade Burrow for Levis! Just hold and get the elite decade of production!! While I like Levis, he has no security beyond the first half of 2024.

Try to trade Daniels (+?) for Nabers while the draft is still processing.

I wouldn't trade Burrow for Wilson and a '25 2nd, so I'm passing on this.
(Levis, Jeudy, and Charbs are just toejam to me so that's what this deal looks like personally.)

Burrow by himself is almost worth more than the whole other side of the deal in SF. A '25 2nd isn't worth much, and if Levis is in fact a dud, you'd have traded away Burrow for Wilson and a dart throw. The upgrade of Wilson is way too to much to "down tier" from Burrow to Levis.

Easy pass.

Easy Pass. I would be looking to move L. Jackson over Burrows as dual threat Qb's decline faster.

Glad to see I wasn’t crazy. I felt the same with this trade. Feel like you need a crazy offer to trade away these stud QBs and didn’t feel like this was it

Easy pass on that offer.
As someone above said I’d actually look to move Lamar before Burrow…but still need to be blown away

I agree, unless I misunderstand down-tiering. That’s a serious drop from Burrow to Levis. I like Wilson, but I’m not sure he fills that gap.

I'm late to the party, but I agree. This is not the deal to make. I'm okay with the premise/reasoning, but not the pieces coming back to you. It's too unbalanced against you.
