Brooks vs Benson: '24 Rookie RBs

Jonathon Brooks CAR 20 6'0" 216 2.14 (CAR)
Trey Benson ARI 21 6'0" 216 3.02 (ARI)

These guys are pretty close in my mind. Is the draft capital difference that much? Who would you take in a vacuum?

Brooks but gap isn't particularly wide.

If I were taking them in startups I would take Brooks about one round sooner than Benson.

I’d take Brooks. But I don’t understand why Benson is valued so low. Seems like with his draft capital and good landing spot he’d be getting a little more love.

What do you dislike on Benson vs Brooks? seems like both catch the ball well and are quick. Brooks seems to glide through the field while Benson looks a little more physical.

I've only watched a few games of tape from each. I guess draft capital means alot, but we know Connor won't last on Arizona for more than a season

Benson for me, better team, more explosive player. Not in a vacuum, my response, but Brooks is post ACL, likely not 100 percent until next year, and Benson is a sub 4.4 player that has a QB that will keep the edge players honest. Benson has such a great opportunity in this offense.

I just don't love Benson much as a prospect, don't like the way he runs much. Feels very upright to me. idk it's kind of hard to explain. its the eye test for me and Benson just doesn't pass it. Brooks to me looks like he has it same with Lloyd who I wish didn't have Jacobs in front of him but that's another topic entirely. I think they both got good landing spots, I just don't love Benson the player.

I ended up taking Brooks 1.04 and Benson 1.12 in my rookie draft. (Also took Odunze 1.03). I debated on Bowers and Worthy, but went with Brooks at 1.04.
