Penix Superflex Question

12-man, 1 ppr, Superflex TEP where we start qb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-te-superflex-flex-flex.

I have the 1.02, 1.06, 2.02, 2.04.

If Penix falls to 2.02 do I have to take him? Or are we thinking get him later, for less, as he'll sit for a few years.

Thoughts?

Full Superflex #2 team in signature, but my only starting QBs are Goff and Cousins.

Bijan, Zamir
DJM, Higgins, JSN, Downs
Ferguson
FLEX: Brian Robinson/Tutu/Kraft

Id take him for sure. he was picked 8 overall he aint sitting 3 or 4 years. and i doubt after 2 years an owner is gonna go oh hes about to start and people are interested let me sell for less than what i paid

2.02 makes sense, and locks up the ATL QB for you even if you need to wait. Will make a trade more appealing too since you can deal Cousins + Penix in whatever deal you try to make for a QB upgrade.

Right. And if people are willing to sell him for less, because he looks bad, then why do you want to catch a falling knife. The whole “don’t draft now and get cheaper later” idea has always been nonsense in my opinion. It might work sometimes, but it also backfires probably even more.

In fairness I got him at 2.01 and 2.05 which I know is also anecdotal but there's a lot of people would take the WR's + Brooks before him

lol. Just saying early 2nd seems to be the range he is going in.

Yep. That's where I'm seeing him go. Honestly, the non-Cousins owners may not WANT to draft him, so he may fall to me. The only question if he falls to 2.02 is take him there or 2.04 over somebody like Pearsall.

In a 12 team SF currently running he’s available at 2.03. I just took Benson over him, but I’m also a contender who acquired the pick via a move back. It was between Penix / Benson. I think 2.04 is the latest I could see him going in most drafts. Wouldn’t be shocked if he goes 10-12 in the same % of leagues.
