1.05 in Start 8 1QB

TE: Njoku, Otton

I own 1.05, 1.11, 1.15 and a couple of future 1sts.

Trading back doesn't seem to be an option. Two options that stand out to me are Caleb at 1.05 and then BPA (WR/RB) at 1.11/1.15. Or else WR at 1.05 (don't love anyone here though) and Daniels or Maye with one of the later picks. Would it be stupid to use my best pick on Caleb given the league settings?

Taking CW at 1.05 (if he's even there) would be the opposite of stupid IMO, since the only QB you named has played less than a full season the last two years running and looked pretty awful to boot.

Rather have CW + whoever at 11&15 (hopefully RBs) than BTJ at 5 and QB2/3 at 11.

You are in a horrible spot. Harrison, Nabors, Odunze, Bowers and then you. Your team needs everything. I would take Williams, but I would not like it given other team needs.

I'm not taking CW at 1.05 until I shop the pick for a veteran QB. Rookie fever will hit its peak soon. In a 1QB league there must be at least one or two teams that have two good QBs - it's better for them to diversify and for you to get a proven vet (plus a piece). If that doesn't work, I guess I might begrudgingly take CW but I'd probably roll the dice on who will be there at 1.11.

For sure haha. Took over a pretty rough orphan as my first dynasty team a few years back and then made a few dodgy trades myself... enjoyable rebuild though.

In a 16 team 1 qb league, qb gets a pretty big boost. I’d be happy to sit and take CW there, 1.06 looks like the ugly spot in this format to me. I think there’s a decent chance he goes top 4 in this format and you get odunze/bowers.

I’d be more looking to break AJB up if you can get good value. Blow this thing up and start over.

This is an overreaction. Once the NFL Draft actually happens, there will be plenty of risers who are primed for the 1.05 if you don't want to go QB. If a RB lands in DAL/LAC or a WR to BUF/JAX.... they will rise quickly. Plus, you never know... even an MHJ could surprisingly be selected by NE or something like that.

Caleb is a good choice too given your roster but there's a lot we don't know yet so just relax and don't force a move.

I think CW will go in the top 6 in every 16 team league I play in. Then hammer WR ideally with your second 2x 1st round picks, and then plan for RB to be addressed next year. It's a long hard road ahead, but this would be a descent step IMO.
