Brian Burns

Postby Pantherbro13 » Sun Apr 21, 2024 1:36 pm

How do we feel about Burns being traded to the Giants? Didn’t have any other edge rusher to help him out last year. He was productive in Carolina but never got pass rushing opportunities in the 4th quarter last year always playing from behind.

he's been a bit underwhelming so far, but i still think he's good. his pressure rates (depending on which data you believe, espn and pfr have different numbers, i tend to trust the latter a lot more) are good, the giants blitzed a lot last season, and having thibodeaux on the opposite side should help. solid buy, for me.

It’s interesting, he and Thibs are opposite players.

Burns is a phenomenal pass rusher who gets lots of pressures. Decent sacks.

Thibs is (IMO) an average or decent pass rusher who had a completely unsustainable sack rate last year.

Realistically, this is great for both of them I think. Each of them now has a better counterpart than they’ve ever had.
