me too!
if a couple of strings of numbers that kinda look the same is enough to get your juices flowing, great, fill yer boots!
Let’s say he goes 2nd round, how early would you take him?
I’d look at him mid Rd 2. Draft capital and opportunistic situations are all great, but that won’t change his limitations.
@Killer - I don't think you're listening to what I've said. I didn't say he was Bijan, I said he was similar statistically - which is the point of citing those two examples. Absolutely he's well below Bijan, but depending on where he lands he could be a decently valuable RB. I think he could be a Sanders-type player (good comp given he was behind Barkley) that has value in the right situation.
My guess is he's going to go 2nd round in the NFL draft, and (like I said before) he'll gain value in 2H of the season as well as going into next year, given that it usually takes a year to get back fully from an ACL tear. If he goes into the 3rd then his value drops significantly.
For fantasy you are looking for one of two things in a RB - amazing talent (of which there are few - think Barkley, CMC, Hall, potentially Gibbs), or someone who is capable but is going to get volume. I view him as capable... so it is really going to be situation (volume) dependent. If he goes round 2 and lands in DAL, ARI, BAL, possibly LV... places where he has opportunity to be the RB1 at high volume then he could sneak into the late 1st, but likely early 2nd. I can absolutely see people taking a shot at him if they need a RB over some of the tier 2/tier 3 WR's at the end of the first. If he lands in a bad place with no line-of sight to touches - and if Benson (who many people have ranked #2) goes to a good place - then I see him dropping to the back-half of the 2nd.
Hope that clarifies.
