For the team in the signature…I’m considering moving Hurts because I have Mahomes and Richardson too (and Bryce Young in a pinch). I already own picks 1.02, 1.05, and 1.06. Would you trade Hurts for 1.04, 1.08, and a 2025 3rd?
It’s Superflex, so I am guessing Williams goes 1.01. I’m leaning Harrison at 1.02. The team at 1.03 really needs QB. So 1.04, 1.05, 1.06 could land me a topbQB prospect, Nabors, and Odunze (or a 2nd QB). Is it enough for Hurts? Or stick with Hurts and win now mode?
Thanks!

Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
No interest in moving Hurts in Superflex. You could definitely use another elite WR, but with MHJr coming in, you look good there too...

2025 3rd is meaningless. Why not keep this simple and trade AR for 1.05?

Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
Fair, but Hurts is a top 5 startup pick in Superflex. Far more valuable than 1.04 + 1.08. Would need at least another 1st on top, and still don't really see the value with your squad.Cojo 2020 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 8:47 pmI guess I like Richardson better than any QB I can get at 1.04. Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
I'm not trading Hurts for 1.04/1.08. For sure need a proven player in the deal vs. just picks. I'd consider something like 1.04/G.Wilson, 1.04/Puka, 1.04/Olave.
As to your comment about Richardson vs. this class, I think that's a very interesting topic for discussion. I think FF managers have to pick a side on AR - in or out. It's a similar argument with Dell and Achane. I'm in on all of them because I believe predicting injuries is hard. But I get why people want to just avoid the mess. I think a case can be made that AR is closer in value to CW than to the 1.04. So I'm not doing that either.
You're in a good position - you don't really need a deal. I'd only make these moves if the return is very compelling.

Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
The bolded part is most important to me in making this decision. Your roster in addition to the picks you already have, make this trade unnecessary. Not only is it not necessary, I think you weaken your team by doing it.
Having Mahomes/Hurts/AR plus Bryce and maybe a rookie QB if you feel like it, is a monster flex move. If you hit on the 2024 rookie QB, It will set you up with commanding depth at the position. And that will make a future trade of one of your QBs deliver much more value than today. Even in a 10tm league, if having three of the top 7 QBs means something.
In the draft, I would go MHJr + WR + QB. I could also be convinced to go with three WRs. Then sit back and see how those players develop. You're in a great position. Don't screw it up because you have an itch to monkey around.

Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
The thing with hurts is that team is about to be stripped down in a yr or 2 so cashing out now may not be a bad idea
Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
I don't see the "why" in this trade. Trading just to trade normally doesn't work out well for me
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

If you are trading a top 4 dynasty START UP asset you need to be getting a crazy over pay. This is not it.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I was caught up in some analysts spreading doom and gloom about Kelce being gone, Saquan culturing TDs, etc. I’ve backed off the cliff now…lol

Re: To deal Hurts or not to deal?
Well, ARich for 1.04 is better than Hurts for 1.04/1.08....that's what I said.Cojo 2020 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 8:47 pmI guess I like Richardson better than any QB I can get at 1.04. So if you don't want to do ARich for 1.04, you sure as hell shouldn't do Hurts for 1.04/1.08.
I also took ARich at 1.02 last year, and have been amazed that he didn't seem to lose any value at all.
In fact, I would say that ARich value is higher right now than it was at any time last year.
His value is now higher than Bijan's.
Now for me, that is why I traded ARich now, while his value is still sky high.
I believe that his playing style will lead to more injuries.
Anyone who is as big and fast as ARich is in for some major collisions.
So I sold ARich for Bryce Young + ARSB in 12 team SF.
I figure if ARich misses another 6-8 games in 2024, his value will drop a bit next season.
