Best Landing Spots for Bowers

Postby wickerkat1212 » Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:06 pm

What do you think are the best landing spots for TE Bowers?

1.05 Chargers—with Allen gone?
1.07 Titans—need weapons for Levis? (This is where Bowers wants to go)
1.10 Jets—weapon for Rodgers?
1.14 NOS—also need weapons, but QB concerns?
1.15 Colts—help out AR
1.18 Bengals—great spot IF he falls this far (or trade up)

OTHERS

Any way KC can trade up to get him to replace Kelce?
Broncos need a TE
Dolphins too
Raiders?
Too early for NEP (QB) and ARI (Harrison) right?

Nothing in the top 14 for me. Colts and Bengals and a playoff team trade up are the best options to me. Jets would be intriguing, but if memory serves Rodgers is not a fan of rookies.

Why are the Bengals a good landing spot? I'd be concerned about target share.

In redraft, for sure. But there is a high probability that Higgins is gone after this year.

I hate the Titans and (to a lesser extent) the Colts as landing spots. If he lands at either of those two spots he probably drops low enough for me that I won’t have any shares. Market would be higher on him than I am in that scenario.

The best spot would be the Rams. Bowers skillset as the successor to the Cooper Kupp role would be seamless.

But it's not likely he falls that far, and we really shouldn't be worried anyway. Like honestly, who cares?

We'll literally have our answer in 12 days.

Obviously someone cared enough to offer THEIR opinion which is what the OP was wanting to hear.

As for literally having our answer in 12 days I'd disagree. Bowers might go to the worst situation for him. What if Pittsburgh drafts Bowers? The new OC there had no clue how to utilize Pitts.

Back on topic KC would be amazing as heir apparent to Kelce. Get tutored by the GOAT receiver TE & get to play with Mahomes. Not a stellar group of Wrs or RBs to steal target share. Could see Andy making a move to make it happen

We'll have a hard-answer to reject this theoretical question in 12 days, at which point the wish-casting will become moot, this thread will die, and we will resume eating Arby's.

I'm starting another Bowers thread after reading this ...

What is the best way for Bowers to add bulk he will need for the NFL???

Dine with the King 👑 or Eat Arby's???

My vote is for the Burger King as I've seen him dominate on the field in commercials while I've never even seen James Earl Jones portray a football star !

11 days to play Mario Brothers to distract me from over analyzing every mock draft and rookie rankings list. Team Bowser!

Team Bowers?!? We’ll see. I have pick 1.03 and 1.05 in a start 2QB, 2TE with heavy TE premium scoring. Ain’t no sense in reading even more articles trying to compare Daniels, Maye, and now JJ before the draft. Or wringing my hands over Nabers vs Bowers. They are all in the same tier as I await the long 11 days ahead.

Once B Dawg is drafted, I’ll over analyze his team - offensive scheme, QB fit, receiving room.
Team 1
12 team, TE prem ++, start 13
2Qb, 2RB, 3WR, 2TE, 4 Flex
QB: Watson, Stafford, Jimmy G, Tannehill
RB: Bijan, Achane, C Brown, Roschon, G Edwards, Chandler, Keandre, Ford, Demercado, Z Evans, Dotson, Edmonds
WR: Puka, DJM, Addison, Dionte, Kirk, Hollywood, Cooks, T Burks, T Scott
TE: LaPorta, Engram, Bellinger, B Jordan

1.03, 1.05, 2.03, 4.03, 4.09, 5.03, 6.03
2025: 2nd - 6th
2026: All, plus 2nd

Team 2. Champ 2023
12 team, SF, start 10
1QB, 2RB, 3Wr, 1TE, 1SF, 2 Flex
QB: Allen, Cousins, Stafford, D Jones
RB: Etienne, Taylor, Kyren, Connor, Perine, J Hill, M Sanders, Akers
WR: Davante, Addison, M Evans, K Allen, JSN, Cooks, Mims
TE: Engram, Njoku, D Allen

3.1, 3.12, 4.12
2025: 2nd - 4th
2026: all picks

Sure, KC, is the best landing spot with their Hall of Fame QB and Bowers to replace the near retirement Hall of Fame TE, who blocks nobody and runs routes like a WR.

They are also the least likely to draft him.

Fascinating topic.
