Contender Consolidation options

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Contender Consolidation options

Postby tdster17 » Wed Apr 10, 2024 5:35 pm

Hey all, I’ve posted a couple times on here about this team (in sig), and I’m still looking for the best ways to consolidate some pieces. It’s a shallow league, and Im currently left with about 2-3 teams worth of flex level players, but 1-2 top end players short of a dominant force.

I’ve identified the below pieces as valuable, movable options that I’m not “in love with”.
Devonta Smith
DK
Javonte Williams
James Cook
1.08
2.04
25 1st (mine)

I’ve previously tried moving any combo of these pieces for top end veteran options (Ceedee, JJ, Chase, ASRB, etc.) to no avail.

Given that^ I’ve decided maybe the top picks in this draft may be slightly more available. My ideas so far are included below. Do you think any of these are overpays to the extent of hurting my team? Do you think I should be going harder in the paint after veterans using other pieces? Thanks for the input all!

DK+1.08+25 1st-1.01
Devonta+2.04-1.02
Williams+cook-1.03 (needs RBs, has some traction)
Team1 (1QB-2RB-2WR-1TE-2Flex) 10team 0.5 PPR
QB-Hurts, Tua

RB- Mixon, Javonte Williams, Barkley, Breece Hall, J. Cook, Henry, Mattison, R. Johnson, I. Abanikanda, McKinnon, Dobbins

WR- AJ Brown, Jaylen Waddle, Kupp, Metcalf, D. Smith, B. Cooks, G. Davis, E. Moore, J. Reed

TE- Hockenson, Chig Okonkwo

Picks-2024 1.08, 2.04, 3.03, 3.05, 2025 1st, 2026 1st&3rdx2

I think your team is great, but as you alluded to probably 1-2 studs away.

I wouldn't do the first trade, but I would easily do the 2nd and 3rd.

Personally I'd try to package like D. Smith & J. Cook for someone like ARSB, G. Wilson as you have some great RB depth. I also wouldn't be opposed to moving something like J. Williams or J. Cook for K. Pitts or D. Kincaid to try and upgrade the TE position.
10-team/.5 PPR Q RR WWW TE FF
QB: J. Hurts, K. Murray
RB: Bi. Robinson, D. Henry, D. Achane, , J. Cook, Z. Charbonnet, T. Chandler, R. Johnson, K. Mitchell, J.K. Dobbins, T. Allgeier, J. McLaughlin, S. Tucker, T. Bigsby
WR: G. Wilson, B. Aiyuk, J. Waddle, T. Higgins,, Z. Flowers, Di. Johnson, K. Toney, A. Iosivas
TE: K. Pitts, E. Engram, C. Okonkwo, G. Dulcich

12-team PPR/SF/TEP (+1PPR) Q RR WW TE FFF SF
QB - J. Hurts / D. Prescott / J. Love / B. Nix
RB - J. Taylor / K. Walker / J. Mixon / J. Brooks / D. Singletary / J. McLaughlin
WR - B. Aiyuk / K. Allen / S. Diggs / R. Odunze / X. Worthy / T. Franklin / J. Palmer / G. Davis / R. Doubs
TE - M. Andrews / D. Kincaid

The 1st one is the only 1 that isn’t light. If you can get any of those accepted, I think it’s a win.
