2024 Team Rebuild

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I think you are overvaluing QB in 1 QB 10 man league. They are dime a dozen here. But even that said Caleb isnt making it out of the 1st round even in a 1 QB league. You had the picks to get Caleb.
I still have the picks to get Caleb, 7 out of the top 10. If I have picks 7-10 why not trade back and pick up another pick? No one else can trade up to get him unless they trade with me. Even if the owner takes him a five, the owner at six isn’t taking a qb, in my mind that basically gives me a shot at Brooks, Thomas or whoever not picked at six. Just how I see it
Sure falling back is fine but it was too pricey for me. Giving up the 5th best pick for 11th and 12th is a drop. Thats most likely Brain Thomas Jr for I dont know Brooks and Franklins. Too steep
The guy I just traded pick five to is looking to move it for 2025 picks, so I am pretty sure I can get it through that means. I also now know the only reason he traded up for pick five was to get Williams

Send
1.01, 1.05 and Freiermuth
Receive
1.03, 1.06 and 2.09
Which side? There's a zero % chance I'd move off 1.01 for that return... but add in another pick downgrade and give up a descent TE in a TE premium league? Firm pass.
Yeah, this might work if you’re not including your 1.05, but I don’t think you should entertain any trade where you lose value with every piece.

And with owning the 1.07 through 1.10 already, there was only the 1.06 between the 1.05 he traded and the two picks he got. Technically, it was the 1.07 and 1.08 then for the 1.05 which looks quite a bit better.

To the OP, people are roasting this trade because the two picks you got back aren’t worth the 1.05 in a vacuum. If you hadn’t owned all those picks in between, it would have been a bad-value trade for you. I see what you did, though.
