Levis - Cousins Gap

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Levis - Cousins Gap

Postby BabyChark23 » Tue Apr 02, 2024 3:06 pm

12 team 2QB PPR

So the guy who has Kirk Cousins and Derrick Henry is heading into a full rebuild. I’m looking like a solid contender heading into this year. My QBs are Herbert, TLaw and Levis. In this format (true 2QB not SF), I’m not feeling all that secure with Levis as my QB3. Should I try to make a move for Levis+ for Cousins? Obviously, Henry is an attractive target as well. What would his value be, early 2nd?

I have zero faith in Levis. He'd need to be the + in a deal for me, not the central piece. I'd try a late 1st and Levis maybe with a descent prospect RB (think Roschon Johnson) for the pair...

That’s what I’m asking: what plus is needed on Levis to get to Cousins?

What does your roster look like? And what draft picks do you have?

12 team PPR 2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3WRT
QB: Herbert, TLaw, Levis, Stidham
RB: Gibbs, Javonte, Rhamondre, Keaton Mitchell
WR: G Wilson, Aiyuk, Nico, Tee Higgins, Demario, Douglas
TE: Njoku, Hockenson

Picks: 1.02, 1.08, 2.02, all future picks + extra 25 2nd

I could go QB at 1.02, but I think the biggest impact to my roster would be adding MHJR and going with a lower tier option at QB3, rather than having a stud QB3 riding my bench every week. Injuries could happen and I’d wish my QB3 was Jayden Daniels/TLaw, but I’m looking at the upside scenario. I’ve also been exploring trade options for moving up from 1.08, but nothing has emerged so far.

Levis/Rhamondre/2.02/DD for Cousins/Henry
If he is rebuilding, it might be enticing.

I think that's intriguing. Not sure if it would work, but for a rebuilding team, it's a better side than Cousins+Henry. Definitely worth extending the offer.

I have a feeling it may take a bit of tweaking, but there's a chance it's accepted as is. The biggest question is whether or not the other guy receives offers he likes better.

If it were me, I'd stand pat. I like Levis as a QB3 in 2QB. While I'd prefer Cousins, my guess is I'm not willing to pay the fair price to make the move. The most I'd offer is Levis/2.02. The package suggestion is fine too although I'm not sure what Stevenson does for a rebuilding team.

This where I am at too. I don't understand the zero faith in Levis (or Young). Both QB's has horrible lines, always playing from behind, and their receivers gained zero separation. Both had their moments. It's not like we were watching John Skelton or Joey Harrington out there.

It's also impossible to overstate how terrible the O-Line was in TEN. Levis was under pressure all the time until finally getting hurt. While I'm not running around trying to buy Levis shares, the hate is too strong on the DLF Forums. TEN is doing everything they can to position him for success. That's worth betting on at least a little bit.
