Trade offer received/rejected.

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which side is better?

So the league is holding a vote to downsize the starting lineups from 4 flex spots to 2, and we will now start 10 instead of 12. Through speaking with guys in the league, there are already enough "yes" votes to pass the rule change. If i can get 2.5 and Singletary knocked off of this, is it still a no for most on here?
12-team Superflex, PPR, TE Premium
QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, SF, 4 FLEX

QB: Allen, Tua, Levis, O'Conner
RB: Etienne, Hall, Gibbs, K. Miller, D. Singletary, Spiller, Kelly
WR: G. Wilson, Metcalf, Downs, Toney.
TE: Kincaid, Pitts

2024 Picks 1.03, 1.05, 1.06, 2.05, 2.09

Yikes that’s something that needs at least a year out to put into action. Teams build their entire roster around a setting like that, would probably make me leave a league if they’re making changes that big without significant notice.

Anyways that definitely changes the trade a lot for me, but I’m still holding your side.

It significantly impacts mine and three other teams, but the rest have made a lot of bad moves, and are now in really bad situations that they cant climb out of. The idea of knocking it down to 10 starting positions is to even the playing field because a majority of these guys cant even field a legit starting lineup during bye weeks. Basically those of us with legitimate rosters that can compete had to capitulate to those without so that the entire league didn't fold. Annoying i know, but necessary to keep the league alive. My hope is that some of these guys trickle out one by one so that we can replace them. Would be difficult to replace 6 at one time though.

i would leave the league in this situation. its likely the guys that are crap at running their team that magically wanna change the starting requirements and if it passes its just the beginning. they will just keep changing rules to suit themselves

The good news is that bad owners are bad owners in any format. What those bad managers don't realize is their teams will suck in almost any format.

If OP stays the course, he'll continue to have one of the better teams in that league. New rules may level the playing field a little but it won't help incompetent owners become smarter.
TEAM 1:
12 Team ppr w/20 keepers - start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1FLX 6IDP 1DEF
QB: Tua, Lamar, Levis
RB: Etienne, Pacheco, JavonteWms, JFord, CEH
WR: Lamb, JChase, Waddle, Pickens, MWilliams, Q Johnston
TE: Goedert, Friermuth
DEF: Cowboys, Ravens
IDP:(LB) Bolton, Greenlaw; (DE/DL) ZCollins, BJHill; (S/CB) Pitre, Bates, Witherspoon
2023 & 2022 Champion: 2020 third place: 2019 Champion

TEAM 2:
14 Team 30roster SF/ppr/TEP - QB/RB/WR/TE/5FLX/SF
QB: Tua, CJStroud, Carr, AOC, MWhite, Lock
RB: Etienne, Stevenson, GusE, AJD, Singletary, CEH, Spiller
WR: Amon-Ra, Kirk, Dell, Thielen, Gallup, Ch Jones
TE: Andrews, Waller, Taysom, Smythe, WMallory, JOliver
2023 semifinals loser

Have you played in a start 12 league before? You won’t be able to field a starting lineup taking deals like this.
Yes I have, and my current league starts 11 IOP and 11 IDP.

If I don't agree with you on a proposed trade, it's cool dude. You don't have to start asking me for my damn ff resume, it ain't that deep. :wtf:
You really got offended by that question huh? Wasn’t the intention, a lot of people don’t play in deep leagues (and/or don’t read the starting requirements) so it’s worth pointing out to help the OP 🤷‍♂️. IMO telling them hurts/Taylor and not even close isn't great advice for the format so it’s worth making sure you’ve played in deep leagues before. Sorry to offend, happy to discuss further or we can move on.
OP asked a question, I answered it and commented.

The trade seemed light to me and would be an auto-reject. You obviously disagree. You asking me what type of leagues I play in isn’t changing how I feel about the trade.
