Re: 2024 Free Agency
Was reading some PFF at work, motivation extremely low during NFL free agency lol. Anyway, found this interesting tidbit on Barkley from Nathan Jahnke.
https://www.pff.com/news/fantasy-footba ... ree-agency
For Barkley, the big difference will be the offensive line .New York Giants running backs were stuffed in the backfield on 23.3% of runs last season, which was second-worst, while Eagles running backs were stuffed on 14.2%, which was second-best.
This led Eagles backs to see more than double the yards before contact per attempt from 0.9 to 1.9.
Barkley averaged 6.6 yards per carry last season when he saw at least one yard before contact, which ranked 10th best among running backs.
The only concern is the tush push. The Eagles only ran once with a running back when they were within two yards of scoring, which was tied for the fewest, but 14 times with Jalen Hurts, which was by far the most.
The Giants only ran four times with a running back within two yards of scoring last season, so there shouldn’t be a huge difference in touchdown production.
I knew the Giants were bad but four rushes inside the 2??? That's insane. Went and looked it up, 6 carries from inside the 5, resulting in 4 TD's. My goodness literally anywhere was better than in New York. The Eagles on the other hand, had 30 attempts from inside the 5 (hurts, 16, Swift 10, Gainwell 3, Scott 1), the Giants had 43 red zone attempts as a whole lol.

Re: 2024 Free Agency
Marquise Brown remains an interesting name. Injuries have derailed him but I think he's still pretty good and he'd be a good option in a few places.
I feel like offensive skill positions for fantasy are getting more and more saturated as the talent level coming into the league keeps getting better and better. I think this will ultimately lead to even more RBBCs (like SEA last year) and receiver groups where there really isn't an alpha on a lot of teams (see Green Bay). We shall see. QB is the only role not saturated so we don't have QBBC.... yet.

There's going to be more injuries and the issue of depth will be even more important than it already is.Needalife wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 12:52 pm Marquise Brown remains an interesting name. It's just unrealistic these days to expect a team to have 1 RB who plays all the time and nothing else. Doesn't matter the size, no RB these days is equipped to play 18 healthy regular season games + potentially 4 postseason games every year. You need 2 good backs now.
