Selling JSN is fine. But aDOT isn't a WR metric. It's an offensive game plan metric.
indeed. rice's aDot is worse than most TEs. not first-season-rondale-moore kind of bad, but bad regardless, in isolation. but he's not someone that i see people selling on the cheap.

We shall see. I’m have a few Zamir shares and no Jameson so I figured I would shake things up. 16-team start 3-4 WRs and 2 RBs if it matters. Not for team in sig.

12 team PPR, SF, TEP (TEs get 2ppr)

Team A: JSN
Team B: 1.08
Interesting to see how others feel about this.
I prefer the 1.08 here, however, I saw a poll on this exact same question on RotoHeat, and the poll results blew my mind.
JSN - 45 1.08 - 0

IMO, this is a 50/50 poll, as JSN was pick 1.05/1.06 in a weaker draft class in 2023.
Then had a weak rookie season in 2023.
It blew my mind that JSN value has not drop AT ALL after a weak rookie season.

People are ready to kick Bryce Young and QJ to the curb, but still value JSN just as high, if not higher than last year.
To say it is weak, you must have expected something else. What did you expect going into the season?
Low expectations and excuses are the center of the JSN universe right now. Here is a list of WR's in the past 10 years who have had 1st round draft capital, AND scored fewer than 9 PPR PPG as rookies in the NFL:

Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Quentin Johnston

Treylon Burks
Jameson Williams

Rashod Bateman

Henry Ruggs
Jalen Reagor

N'Keal Harry

Corey Davis
Mike Williams
John Ross

Will Fuller V
Josh Doctson
Laquon Treadwell

Kevin White
DeVante Parker
Nelson Agholor
Breshad Perriman
Phillip Dorsett

Here are some players that scored over 9 points as a rookie, so they couldn't make the list:

Kadarious Toney
Kelvin Benjamin
Corey Coleman

One could say that JSN is not in good company.

The top 15 WRs from 2023 and their finishes as rookies (JSN was WR48):

Ceedee WR22

Tyreek WR14

Amon Ra WR21

Puka WR4

Mike Evans WR12

DJ Moore WR39

AJ Brown WR15

Keenan WR18

Nico Collins WR88

Diggs WR46

Davante WR74

Deebo WR31

Chase WR5

Aiyuk WR33

Pittman WR81

----------------------------------

People forget: there is usually no bigger jump for a football player than from their Rookie Year to Year 2.

If you're a JSN shareholder who wants to bail now, nobody is stopping you.

Some of us still think he's going to be fine, though.

To say it is weak, you must have expected something else. What did you expect going into the season?
I expected better than a low end WR4 (WR48), averaging 8.8 PPR PPG. Low end WR5 in PPG scoring, WR60.
I expected more than rookie WR8 production. Tied with Michael Wilson.
I mean did you all expect JSN production to = Michael Wilson production going into 2023?

I do realize that expectations were low, but for me, mid to low end WR3 numbers would have been my expectations floor for JSN.
Somewhere in the WR30-WR36 range, or 3-4 more PPR PPG, as a floor.
I mean Darius Slayton averaged more PPR PPG than JSN.
Mid to low end WR3 for a rookie that is expected to be third passing option behind two very established players is a high expectation imo. Unless it is a juggernaut offence it doesn’t happen that often.

I expected JSN to be below Addison, Flowers and Lockett in PPG and total points. Add 3-4 PPG JSN would be on par with Flowers and Addison and 1-2 PPG BETTER than Lockett. Not realistic.

Given the outcome of SEA offence this season, the numbers to me looks within reason.

That’s a silly list though. It is dependant on how other wrs do and also dependent on touchdowns. Diggs only played in 13 games and averaged 55ypg. WR46 is not representative of how good his rookie season was. The only players on this list who actually had subpar rookie season are probably Nico and Devante, and you could argue Pittman as well.

And most of them had injuries or didn’t play even close to a whole year. Not a comprehensive story being told there.

Yeah. I'd do this even if Cousins ends up paired with Pitts. It's a full rebuild, after winning a title 2 years ago, I started tearing it down towards the end of last season, and he's going to be a cornerstone player for my rebuild.
