I was thinking about this yesterday as I have Christian Kirk. With Ridley moving on, how do we view thee Jaguars WR's at this point? All they have left is Kirk, Zay Jones and Parker Washington. They don't have much in cap space with something like $20M, middle of the pack cap-wise, they do have three picks in the top 100. All that to say, I feel like Ridley was the best WR option they had as far as a WR1 goes and now that they've moved on I really don't see how Christian Kirk isn't their best WR to start the year.

I wanted to bring this up because I heard all last year and HC saying that he prefers him to play in the slot all the time and that he only played outside last year due to injury. I'm not a huge fan of slot only guys but he did pretty well last year with 11PPG in his 11 games so I bought in somewhat early in the year thinking I would offload him in the offseason. Now I'm second guessing that strategy. Anyway, thoughts of the Jags?

I agree in that they pretty much have to take a WR or two in the draft since they cut ties with Ridley. But then we're talking a mid 2nd they'll have to use and then a gaggle of 3rds and 4ths. I also get they probably view Washington highly as he did make some noise last year as a rookie. All that to say, I'm not sure any rookie or FA WR will be able to replace what Ridley was able to do. With such a strong WR draft I get they'll be able to be contributors later than a "normal" draft but can they get an alpha WR1 because that's what they are missing. That is unless they view Kirk as their WR1???

Cleveland has a very talented WR room.

There goes any chance of Tillman having a larger role this year.

So I guess Elijah Moore wasn’t the answer?

They have a lot of theoretically talented WRs who have never translated it to meaningful NFL success outside of Cooper. Cheap acquisition cost though.

Bummer for Jeudy… was hoping he’d go somewhere where he had a chance to be more involved. LAC?

Now he fights with Cooper, Njoku, Moore for a limited number of targets from Watson (who, face it, is a below average QB at this point).

At least Jeudy can dictate his future next year when his contract is up (pending franchise tag).

Diontae Johnson being shopped - anyone else feel like he could be unleashed a bit more than he was in Pittsburgh? Think he'd benefit greatly from a move to a team like the Chiefs (duh), Panthers (Young's new #1), Jaguars (cheaper Ridley replacement), Cardinals (if they pass on WR early).

This is the good sh--

Fair play to Andrew Barry, he keeps betting on good (failed) college profiles at cheap prices to try and help elevate the DeShaun Watson gamble. It'll be his head if it doesn't come off, so he's taking every edge to double down on it.

Man, if this guy got back to a role where he could get fed accurate targets at volume like the good old Ben days - he would go off, without a doubt.

Please let it be so! I've been waiting on this for a couple years now. The guy is a talented player, he's just been stuck with crappy QB play and it's negatively impacted his stats. I'd love to be able to put him in my lineup again and feel good about it!

What's the POV on Mims right now? Take the opportunity to sell high while he's the only game in town? Hold for production? Buy?

I was disappointed with his usage as a rookie. But maybe there's some hope here.
